Bettie Finke

Bettie Finke, 80, 1027 Williams St., St. Marys, died at 6:40 a.m. Dec. 5, 2004, at St. Marys Living Center.
   She was born March 6, 1924, in St. Marys, to Gilbert and Florence Croft Ice. Her husband, John C. Finke, died Jan. 15, 2001.
   Surviving are a son, Allan (Linda) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Susan (Terry) Monroe, St. Marys; a brother, Gilbert Ice, St. Marys; two sisters, Izetta Fulton, St. Marys, and Clara Belle Zwiebel, town not listed; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
   Two brothers, Denzil and Donald, and two sisters, Kosalda Ice and Virginia Heintz, are deceased.
   She was a homemaker, a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and a member of St. Pauls United Church of Christ, the American Legion Auxiluary and the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, all of St. Marys.
   Private graveside services will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Patricia Minnich will officiate.
   Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements.


Norbert Kremer

Norbert A. Kremer, 71, 490 state Route 118, St. Henry, died at 1:39 p.m. Dec. 4, 2004, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
   He was born April 14, 1933, in Carthagena, to Herman and Marie Homan Kremer. On Oct. 15, 1955, he married Edna Goettemoeller who survives.
   Also surviving are three sons, Steve (Linda) of New Bremen, Gerald (Elizabeth) of Delaware, and Marvin (Pamela) of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Sharon (Brad) Moore, Avon Lake, and Ann (Randy) Puthoff, Delaware; a brother, Don (Ginny) of St. Henry; six sisters, Mary Ann Gelhaus, Esther (Ivo) Goettemoeller and Stella (Paul) Heitkamp, all of Minster, Dolores (Dave) Fortman, Minster, Rose Ann (Alan) Diller, Fort Recovery, and Marlene (Wayne) Tekamp, Coldwater; and 17 grandchildren.
   A brother-in-law, Ralph Gelhaus, is deceased.
   He worked in production at AVCO New Idea in Coldwater for 49 years. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where he served as a lector and sang in the choir, and the Men's Society, both of Burkettsville, and the Knights of Columbus, St. Henry. He was a U.S. Army veteran and former president of the St. Henry Schools board of education.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.


Ruth Lee

Ruth Lee, 91, 1927 Kingsbury Drive, St. Marys, died at 4:55 a.m. Dec. 4, 2004, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
   She was born March 4, 1913, in Buckland, to Marion and Mary Huckemeyer Duncan. In 1935, she married Virgil Langsdon, who died March 3, 1948. In 1954, she married Wilbur Lee, who died July 3, 1989.
   Survivors are a son, Ron (Ruth) Langsdon, St. Marys; a daughter, Karen Koehring, of Green; two stepdaughters, Beverly (Steve) Black and Marilyn (William) Henning, all of St. Marys; a stepson, Jack (Olivia) Conroy, Tesas; a son-in-law, Tom Dwenger, Hartville; a sister, Odessa (Carl) Klopfleisch, Celina; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 14 step-great grandchildren and four step-great great grandchildren.
   Deceased are a daughter, Brenda Dwenger; a brother, Basil Duncan; two sisters, Lorine Dicke and Marguerite Vornholt; and two great granddaughters.
   She was a 1930 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys. She was a homemaker and was retired from Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. She also had operated Ruth's Beauty Shop. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the church.


Barbara Post

Barbara Ann Post, 65, 209 Briarwood Drive, Coldwater, died at 11:10 p.m. Dec. 3, 2004, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
   She was born Jan. 18, 1939, in Sidney, to John and Mary Evelyn Wendel Salm. Her mother survives in Sidney.
   Also surviving are a son, Jerry (Cindi) of Orient; two daughters, Lisa (Tom) Metzler, Thorton, Colo., and Shelly (Jim) Bryan, Montezuma; a brother, Larry (Doris) Salm, Coldwater; a sister, Susan (William) Alford, Covington, La.; and five grandchildren.
   A son, Kenneth, is deceased.
   She was employed at Mercer Color in Coldwater and formerly worked in the Coldwater office of attorney Kermit Newman. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality, St. Cecelia Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Vintage Chicks chapter of the Red Hat Society, all of Coldwater, and the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary, Celina.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
