Bernadine Crouch

Bernadine Crouch, 87, 810 Ivy Lane, Celina, died at 6:40 p.m. Dec. 7, 2004, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born Aug. 2, 1917, in Ohio, to Thomas Jefferson and Clara Rosetta Fetters Howell. On Aug. 6, 1938, she married Gerald Lee Roy Crouch who is deceased.
   Surviving are two sons, Gene (Shirley) of Celina and Ronald (Gaila) of New Bremen; a sister, Ruth Feister, Celina; a sister-in-law, Celesta Howell, Columbia City, Ind.; four grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
   Deceased are three brothers, John, Lyle and Bevone Howell; two sisters, Norma E. and Ermal K. Howell; a sister-in-law, Inez Howell; and a grandchild.
   She retired as an assembler at Huffy Corp. and also worked in the home health care field. She was a member of Mount Carmel Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher.
   Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Mark Wakeland officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.

Kevin Diller

Kevin Joseph Diller, 37, 1901 state Route 29, Celina, died Dec. 6, 2004, in a traffic accident on U.S. 127, south of Celina.
   He was born Aug. 20, 1967, in Coldwater, to Urban and Helen Keller Diller. They survive near Celina.
   Also surviving are a son, Casey of Pittsboro, Ind.; and three brothers, Roger (Janice) of St. Anthony, LTC. Ken (Rachel) of Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and Charlie (Diane) of Carthagena.
   He was as assistant manager at Wal-Mart in Greenville and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. A prayer service will be held there at 8 p.m. Friday.


Carl Fetters

Carl "Buck" Fetters, 85, 227 Godfrey Ave., Celina, died at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 5, 2004, at his home.
   He was born March 4, 1919, in Mercer County, to Clarence and Cleda Smith Fetters. On Oct. 13, 1941, he married Kathleen Hope Ellis who survives.
   Also surviving are two daughters, Beverly and Deborah, both of Celina; a daughter-in-law, Colleen of Ohio City; three grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 13 stepgreat-grandchildren and four stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a son, Mike; a brother, Chauncy; and a sister, Helen.
   He retired from Westinghouse in Lima and did other jobs following retirement. He was a member of Grand Lodge of Free Masons and Shanes Lodge, Rockford, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473 and American Legion Post 210, all of Celina, VFW Post 191, Spencerville, and the International Union of Electricians. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II earning two bronze stars in the process.
   Services are 11 a.m. today at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial followed at Swamp College Cemetery.


Ernest Mihm

Ernest Eugene Mihm, 82, of Rockford, died at 1:11 a.m. today, Dec. 8, 2004, at his home.
   He was born July 17, 1922, in Mercer County, to Floyd and Lena Zizelman Mihm. On Oct. 12, 1946, he married Betty Dean Jordan who died May 12, 2003.
   Surviving are two daughters, Diane (Dave Jr.) Sheets, Mendon, and Elaine (Jim) Geyer, Galloway; two sisters, Mary Michael, Rockford, and Flora (Norman) Stoner, Celina; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
   He was a farmer who had worked at New Idea in Coldwater and at Mercer Elevator. He was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church as well as Free and Accepted Masons and American Legion Post 508, also of Rockford. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
   Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Mike Berne officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, with the American Legion conducting military rites.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held there at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
