Virginia Bair

Virginia E. Bair, 84, formerly of St. Marys, died at 3:28 p.m. Dec. 21, 2004 at her home in Columbus following a sudden illness.
   She was born Dec. 6, 1920 in Auglaize County to Ira Dale and Hazel Mae Jack Bair.
   She is survived by a sister-in-law, Letha J. Bair, St. Marys.
   She was preceded in death by a brother, Norman D. Bair.
   A graduate of Memorial High School, she attended a Columbus business college and worked as a legal secretary for Lane, Alton and Horst in Columbus. She was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
   Family funeral services are being held at 1 p.m. today in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Kerry Snyder officiating. Burial was to follow in Kossuth Cemetery.
   Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.


Michael McVay

Michael Lewis McVay, 53, 7419 state Route 219, died at 11:11 p.m. Dec. 20, 2004 at Community Hospital of natural causes.
   He was born July 11, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to Robert Lewis and Josephine Anne Veath McVay.
   He is survived by his wife, Mary Jordan; step-daughters, Regina (Marty) Goldman and Toni Terrell, both of Salem, Ind.; a brother, Tim (Carol) McVay, Middletown, Conn.; and six step-grandchildren.
   He was employed by Auglaize County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
   Private family services will be held. Arrangements were by N. J. Hogenkamp, Coldwater
