Wilma Birt

Wilma L. Birt, 86, West Jefferson, died Dec. 27, 2004, at Grant Hospital in Columbus.
   She was born Sept. 10, 1918, in Mercer County, to Grover C. and Mary Bilter Hines. She married Lovell Birt, who survives in Columbus.
   Other survivors are two sons, Robert (Ivy) Brandon, Columbus, and Ronald (Helsie) Brandon, Melbourne, Australia; a daughter, Dorothy Hill, Columbus; a brother, Glen (Aiko) Hines, Cincinnati; a stepdaughter, Peggy Summers, Chillicothe; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is her first husband, Warren Brandon.
   Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Rader McDonald Funeral Home, West Jefferson, the Rev. Glade May officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


Brian Schug

Brian E. Schug, 26, 171 Winkler Road, Willshire, died at 6:03 p.m. Dec. 26, 2004, after being fatally injured in an automobile accident on state Route 49 in Willshire.
   He was born Sept. 27, 1978, in Adams County, Ind., to Bruce and Cathy Royer Schug, who both survive in Willshire.
   Also surviving is a brother, Jeff A. Schug of Willshire.
   He was employed as an accountant at Fort Wayne Truck Plaza and was a member of Moose Lodge 1311 and Phi Kappa Theta. He was a 1997 graduate of Parkway High School and a 2002 graduate of the Indiana Institute of Technology.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Ind., the Rev. Josh Merold officiating. Burial will follow at Willshire Cemetery.
   Calling is 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a Moose memorial service at 8 p.m.
   Contributions can be made to Decatur Church of Christ.


Ann Zollinger

Ann M. Zollinger, 53, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Dec. 26, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne of natural causes.
   She was born Nov. 16, 1951, in Decatur to Simon and Esther Liechty Neuenschwander. She married James Zollinger, who survives.
   Other survivors are a stepmother, Doris Neuenschwander, St. Marys; three sisters, Susan Kaye (David) Wulliman, Berne, Ind., Jo Elaine (Eldon) Williams, Celina, and Denise Arlene (Dan) Duvall, Fort Wayne; three brothers-in-law, John of Fort Wayne, Richard (Cindy) of Columbia City, Ind., and Dan (Carol) Rosswurm of Rochester; and a sister-in-law, Linda (Larry) Craighead of Fort Wayne.
   She was employed at All Occasion Party Rental in Fort Wayne.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mungovan & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
   Funeral Mass is 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fort Wayne. Prior to that, a prayer service is at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial follows at the church cemetery.
   Contributions can be made to Masses, the American Heart Association or the First Mennonite Church Kitchen Committee of Berne, Ind.
