Merilda Hein Merilda G. Hein, 94, 615 W. North St., Coldwater, died at 7:35 a.m. Jan. 14, 2005, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. She was born Jan. 22, 1910, in Celina, to Ben and Catherine Grevenkamp Froning. On Jan. 20, 1936, she married Elmer E. Hein who died April 10, 1998. Survivors are two sons, Robert of Coldwater, and Gerry of Dayton; a daughter, Connie (Paul) Wynk, Coldwater; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Cyril Froning. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Rose M. Seibert, 74, of rural Spencerville, died at 6:05 a.m. Jan. 14, 2005, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville, following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 18, 1930, in Delphos, to Earl and Helen Strohl Prine. On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Lester W. Seibert who survives. Other survivors are four daughters, Beverly (Jerry) Hoenie, and Debra (John) Moeller, all of St. Marys; Judy Schweitzer, Spencerville, and Gloria (Ralph) Stueve, Minster; a sister, Carol Mae Shobe, Delphos; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Wayne and Carl Prine; and a sister, Martha Bendele. She worked with her husband on the family farm and retired from the assembly department at Trim Trends, Spencerville, where she worked for 12 years. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Tom Shobe officiating. Burial is at New Salem Cemetery, south of Monticello. Calling is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Donald B. Unrast, 70, 5836 state Route 119, St. Henry, died at 4 a.m. Jan. 13, 2005, at his home. He was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Maria Stein, to Victor and Emma Bruns Unrast. On July 9, 1955, he married Mary Lou Uhlenhake who died June 8, 1987. On Jan. 31, 1998, he married Cookie Sealscott who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jerry (Kathy) and Jim (Kathy), all of St. Henry; two daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Pottkotter, St. Henry, and Carol (Marv) Tuente, Maria Stein; three stepsons, Brian (Linda) Sealscott, St. Henry, Shawn (Judy) Sealscott and Kevin Sealscott, all of Wapakoneta; a stepdaughter, Yvette (Dave) Locker, Wapakoneta; 12 grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild. Other survivors include a brother, Bob (Patsy) of Maria Stein; a sister, Joann (Werner) Holdheide, St. Henry; three brothers-in-law, Tom Mescher, Maria Stein, Omer (Anita) Klosterman, Celina, and Charlie (Betty) Gaerke, Fort Recovery, and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Uhlenhake, Coldwater. Deceased are two sisters, Jeanette Mescher and Martha Unrast; two brothers-in-law, Tom and Ernie Uhlenhake; three sisters-in-law, Marie Uhlenhake, Wilma Gaerke and Rita Klosterman; and a grandchild. He was a farmer and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles lodges in Coldwater and Wapakoneta, Celina Loyal Order of Moose and the Polka Boosters. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
