Richard Keifer Richard J. "Dick" Keifer, 78, 927 Hemlock St., Celina, died at 2:55 p.m. Feb. 1, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1926, in Fort Loramie, to Alva L. and Louise Green Keifer. On July 9, 1947, he married Edna M. Black who died May 25, 2001. Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn (Thomas) Page, Oak Lawn, Ill., and Janice (Nicholas) Belna, Rockford; and two granddaughters. Deceased are a brother, Thomas, and his stepmother, Gladys. He retired as a feed salesman for Mercer Landmark and was manager of the former Amstutz Feed Mill in Celina. He was a member of Celina Church of the Nazarene, a graduate of Celina High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Larry Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina. Calling is 2-9 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, and after noon Saturday at the church. Alicia Flores Rodriguez, 71, of Celina, died at 2:47 p.m. Feb. 1, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. She was born April 25, 1933, in Taylor, Texas, to Amando and Guadalupe Trevino Flores. On Sept. 24, 1949, she married Reinaldo S. Rodriguez who died Aug. 20, 1999. Surviving are four sons, Reinaldo and Reuben, both of Celina, Miguel of Florida, and Daniel of Minster; three daughters, Ninfa (David) Muter, Guadalupe (Mike) Hoying and Suzanne Dorsten, all of Celina; two brothers, Manuel Flores, Wichita Falls, Texas, and Paul Flores, North Carolina; four sisters, Lamar (Paul) Ozuna, Wichita Falls, Carol (Sam) Garcia, Dallas, Texas, Andrea Leon, Chicago, and Lupe Venegos, Fort Worth, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Carlos, Jesse and M.T. Flores, and a sister, Amanda Dominguez. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at W.H. Brother Richard Schaffner, C.PP.S., 59, St. Charles Center, Carthagena, died at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 2, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a brief illness. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles, the Rev. Angelo Anthony officiating. Burial will follow at the community cemetery. Calling is 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at St. Charles, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, has charge of arrangements.
