Jerry Stucke Jerry Stucke, 69, 341 state Route 127, Maria Stein, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at 11:43 a.m. at Norton-Audubon Hospital, Louisville, Ky. He reportedly became ill while attending a farm machinery show. He was born July 7, 1935, in Cranberry Prairie to Henry and Hilda Schwieterman Stucke. On Feb. 25, 1972, he was married to Karen Michael, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Tawnya (Craig) Uhlenhake and Jill (Doug) Ontrop, both of St. Henry; two brothers, Tom (Connie), Greenville and Ron (Beck), St. Henry; two sisters, Esther (Jim) Eiting, Versailles and Cheryl (Bill) Braun, Coldwater; seven grandchildren and his parents-in-law, Robert and Imogene Michael, New Weston. One brother, Robert, is deceased. He was engaged in farming and was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Cranberry Prairie. A funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Francis Church. The Rev. Tony Fortman will officiate and burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Calling hours at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, are Sunday, 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to the hour of services. James Duncan
James W. Duncan, 81, Greenville and formerly of Ansonia, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at his residence. He was born in Ansonia on April 4, 1923, to Vernon W. and Yuba W. Hopper Duncan. Surviving are two sons, Stanley (Sandra) and Larry (Karen), all of Greenville; a daughter, Wanda Vetters, Troy; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Harry Duncan. He was a retired farmer and nurseryman, having worked for 42 years. He was a member of the Ansonia Christian Church, a former member of the Ohio Nurseryman's Association and the Ansonia American Legion. He also was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. Eric Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Teegarden Cemetery, Ansonia, with full military honors by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ansonia Christian Church or the Ansonia Alumni Association. |
