Forrest Bowers Forrest G. "Frosty" Bowers, 87, 63 Circle Drive, New Bremen, died at 12:20 p.m. March 4, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Death was due to injuries sustained in a Feb. 26 traffic accident in Shelby County.
He was born Sept. 25, 1917, in Miami County, to Warren and Martha Belle Gillis Bowers. On Aug. 19, 1939, he married Carabell M. Kuhlhorst who died April 5, 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy (James) Waesch, St. Marys; four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.
Seven brothers and a sister are deceased.
He retired in 1980 from Minster Machine Co., where he had worked 35 years as a machinist. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and Woodman of the World Camp 149, both of New Bremen, and the Minster Machine Co. 25 Year Club.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
