Arthur Gerlach Arthur W. Gerlach, 77, 231 Kenneth Drive, St. Henry, died at 4:50 p.m. April 12, 2005, at Dayton Heart Hospital. He was born July 19, 1927, in Burkettsville, to Bernard and Katherine Bruggeman Gerlach. On Nov. 8, 1952, he married Della M. Stammen who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Randy (Ginny) of St. Henry and Terry (Teresa) of Chickasaw; two daughters, Sandy (Eugene) Hoening, Burkettsville, and Cindy (Fred) Poeppelman, Minster; a brother, Norb (Dot) of St. Henry; a sister, Rita Schindler, Coldwater; and nine grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Ott and Ed; a sister, Alvina; and a grandchild. He retired from Minster Machine Co. and was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the American Legion Post, both of St. Henry, and the Minster Machine 25 Club. He also was a U.S. Army veteran and a former member of St. Henry Village Council, St. Henry Fire Department and St. Henry Rescue Squad. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 8:45-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry. Edward Kelty Jr.
Edward A. Kelty Jr., 52, 5169 Kittle Road, Celina, died April 12, 2005, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes. He was born July 19, 1952, in Youngstown, to Edward A. Sr. and Esther M. Hoffman Kelty. On March 3, 1973, he married Brenda Risher who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Edward W. (Tennelle) of Somerville, Sean P. (Sherry) and Scott M., all of Celina; a sister, Marianne (Joseph) Petro, Hubbard; and three grandchildren. An industrial electrician for 28 years, he had worked at Copeland Corp. in Sidney, U.S. Steel Ohio Works and other mills. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, the Rev. James Dugal officiating. Burial will be at Ellis Cemetery, Montezuma. Calling is 4-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. |
