Debra Barhorst Debra Louise Schafer Barhorst, 48, of 305 Defiance Street, St. Marys, died of cancer at 11:40 a.m. April 14, 2005, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
She was born July 16, 1956, in Sidney, to Bernard and Dorothy Reineke Schafer who are both deceased. On June 21, 1985, she married Mark Barhorst who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jacob and Daniel, both of St. Marys; and two sisters, Pat (Tim) Heyne, Salinas, Calif., and Connie Schafer, Minster.
She worked as a beautician at Style Salon in St. Marys and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and its Altar Sodality. She was active in the Ohio Child Conservation League, raising funds for the Toyland program at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Revs. Anthony E. Cutcher and Scott Kramer officiating. Burial is at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
