Theodore Kunkler Theodore W. "Ted" Kunkler, 83, 2787 Coldwater Creek Road, St. Henry, died at 10:41 a.m. April 26, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Carthagena, to Henry and Theresa Homan Kunkler. On Oct. 21, 1950, he married Martha Ann Frantz who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Terry (Sue) of Fort Recovery and Patrick (Julie) of Crescent Springs, Ky.; four daughters, Linda Mackey, Celina, Sharon (Fred) Ranly and Sandra (Fred) Schmitmeyer, all of St. Henry, and Michelle (Andrew) Cordonnier, Mason; two brothers, Ralph of St. Henry and Henry Jr. (Ruth) of Burkettsville; three sisters, Dorothy Schott, Fort Wayne, Ind., Stella (Herb) Siefring, Coldwater, and Virginia (Florian) Heitkamp, Celina; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Kunkler, New Weston, and Jo Ann Kunkler, St. Henry; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Frederick and Donald, and a sister, Rosemary Olson. He had been a dairy and grain farmer, a Dekalb seed corn dealer and an orchard and produce salesman. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Men's Society, both of Carthagena. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry. Douglas Maehlman
Former Celina resident Douglas Maehlman, 40, of Cincinnati, died April 22, 2005 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Death was due to natural causes. He was born Jan. 31, 1965, in Lackawana, N.Y. Surviving with his parents, William and Rita (Burdg) Maehlman of Cincinnati, are a brother, Dan of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Diana (Clinton) Maehlman Studt, Cincinnati; and four nieces. A 1983 graduate of Celina High School, he worked in the field of computer programming, installation and training for retail use and then in restaurant management in Cincinnati. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Cincinnati. Calling will be after 10:30 a.m. Monday at the chapel. |
