Christine Biersack Christine B. Biersack, 54, of Coldwater, died May 9, 2005, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. She had suffered severe head injuries in a March 3, 1994 traffic accident that claimed the lives of her husband and their young daughter. She was born Nov. 2, 1950, in Dayton, to Carl and Arline Lucker Henneman. Her father survives in Enon. On Dec. 28, 1974, she married Cletus L. Biersack Jr. Surviving are four sons, Gregory and Douglas, both of Dayton, Matthew of Fountain Valley, Calif., and Todd of Coldwater; four daughters, Lisa of Phoenix, Ariz., Brooke of Newport, and Ashley and Amy, both of Coldwater; three brothers, Alan (Ann) Henneman. Lubbock, Texas, David (Doris) Henneman, Holt, Fla., and Brian (Kristina) Henneman, Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Karen (Larry) Darling, Rancho Cordova, Calif., and Carla (Rich) Henneman-Herzog, Springfield; a brother-in-law, Kevin (Margaret) Biersack, Coldwater; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Ortman, Cincinnati. Deceased are a daughter, Robin Ann; a brother, Gregory Henneman; and a brother-in-law, Bill Ortman. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Thursday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fairborn, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton. Celina native Mary C. Bruns, 53, 11022 state Route 364, Fort Loramie, died at 6:45 p.m. May 8, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to natural causes following a four-month illness. She was born May 1, 1952, in Celina, to Joseph and Catherine Kramer Schwieterman. Her mother survives in Coldwater. On Oct. 5, 1974, she married Michael J. Bruns who survives. Also surviving are seven sons, Matthew of Osgood, Anthony (Mandi) of Minster, Todd (Jenny) of Maria Stein, Phillip, and Douglas, Adam and Michael, all at home; four daughters, Sarah of Cincinnati, Laura (Pat) Freels, New Bremen, and Jennifer and Maria, both at home; a brother, Virgil (Jill) Schwieterman, Celina; and two sisters, Joey (Bob) Post, Coldwater, and Ginny (Larry) Axe, McCartyville. A brother, Norb Schwieterman, is deceased. She was a cafeteria worker at Minster High School, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality and the Bereavement Committee, all of Egypt, and a 1970 graduate of Coldwater High School. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Ruth I. Hasis, 87, formerly of 560 Parkway Drive, St. Marys, died at 6:20 p.m. May 9, 2005, at St. Marys Living Center. She was born Nov. 8, 1917, in Mercer County, to Frank and Bertha Browder Kruger. On April 12, 1936, she married Edwin Hasis who died April 16, 1992. Surviving are a son, Ted (Sandra) of St. Marys; two sisters-in-law, Edith Kruger, Neptune, and Helen Hasis, Celina; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. A brother, Robert Kruger, and a sister, Elsie Mosier, are deceased. She had owned and operated Pleasantview Truck Stop near Wapakoneta and Midway Lunch Stand between Wapakoneta and St. Marys. A 1935 graduate of Neptune High School, she was a member and past president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 691 in Wapakoneta as well as the state organization, and a member and past president of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 323, St. Marys. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina. Calling is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. |
