Gary Baumer

Gary J. Baumer, 50, 7208 State Line Road, Celina, died around 11:30 p.m. May 24, 2005, in a car-tractor accident along Darke-Shelby Road south of Osgood.
   He was born April 15, 1955, in Celina, to Robert and Eileen Kunk Baumer.
   Surviving are three brothers, Hub (Sandy), Dan (Elaine) and Dave, all of Celina, and four sisters, Carol (Thomas) Tucker, Fort Wayne, Ind., Nancy (Mark) Weigel, Coldwater, Deb (Steve) Dieckman, Centerville, and Kathy (Carl) Bensman, Versailles.
   He was self employed in agriculture waste management.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.


Rita Jutte

Rita Jutte, 80, of Philothea, died today, May 26, 2005, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry. A complete obituary will appear in Friday's paper.


Robert Kelner

Robert A. Kelner, 89, Mendon, died May 25, 2005, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   He was born Oct. 4, 1915, in Mendon, to Nicholas A. and Pearl Kinkley Kelner. On Aug. 22, 1934, he married Evelyn M. Thomas who survives.
   Also surviving are two daughters, Jackie (Dick) Schleucher, Celina, and Connie (Jesse) Stocksdale, Union City; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
   One brother, John, is deceased.
   A retired farmer, he had worked as a millwright in Indiana. He was a member of Mendon First Church of God, founder of the Mendon Band Boosters, a 1933 graduate of Mendon High School and a former Farm Bureau member.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, Pastor Bruce Head and lay minister Harold Lunsford. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to Grace Missionary Church of Celina.


Kyle Magoto

Kyle R. Magoto, 16, 3820 Simon Road, Russia, died at 12:14 a.m. May 25, 2005, in a car-tractor accident along Darke-Shelby Road south of Osgood.
   He was born Aug. 22, 1988, in Piqua, to Steve and Judy Brewer Magoto.
   Surviving with the parents are a brother, Travis, and a sister, Mandy, both at home; and the grandparents, Paul and Helen Rindler Magoto, Russia, and Glenn and Wanda Kelch Brewer, Ansonia.
   He was employed at McDonald's in Minster. A sophomore at Russia High School, he was a member of the cross country, track and basketball teams and the yearbook staff. He also was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, where he was a Mass server and a member of the church youth group.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
   Contributions can be made to the Kyle E. Magoto Scholarship Fund.


Margie Skromme

Margie Mae Skromme, 78, 7440 state Route 703, Celina, died May 25, 2005, at her home of an apparent heart attack.
   She was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Seaford, Del., to Oscar and Pearl Johnson O'Neal. On June 16, 1948, she married Robert B. Skromme who survives.
   Also surviving are three sons, Allan of Boulder, Colo., Wayne of Leslie, Mich., and David of San Mateo, Calif.; two daughters, Janet McGill, St. Louis, Mo., and Linda Alders, Conifir, Colo.; a sister, Marydel Roosa, Wilmington, Del.; and nine grandchildren.
   She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, History Club, College Community Arts Council and Mercer County Genealogical Society, all of the Celina area.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Robert Metheny Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Lehman High School.


Lee Ann Snyder

Lee Ann Snyder, 57, of Celina, died at 8 p.m. May 25, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
   Arrangements are pending at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina.
