Charles Strabel

Charles W. Strabel, 89, of Celina, died at 10:55 a.m. June 9, 2005, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
   He was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Mercer County, to Peter and Louisa Fisher Strabel. On June 15, 1957, he married Enid Caffee Westerberg who died in 1991.
   Surviving are three stepdaughters, Elaine (Gary) Deitsch, Willshire, Ann Clarke, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Karen (Russel) DeBoer, Westerville; a sister, Opal Schaadt, Akron; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are two brothers, J.R. and Albert, and two sisters, Leona Bollenbacher and Marcella Forlow.
   He was a retired farmer, a former employee of G.E. Co., Decatur, Ind., and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, Pastor Randall Swanson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
   Calling is 3-7 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne, Ind.
   Contributions can be made to the church.


Robert Wale

Robert W. Wale, 54, of Celina, died early today at his sister's home in Celina.
   Arrangements are pending at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
