Ruth Carmack Ruth A. Carmack, 96, formerly of Celina and Coldwater, died at 10:05 a.m. June 13, 2005, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community. She was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Coldwater, to Ezra and Cidora Bennett Snider. On Sept. 9, 1937, she married Murl Carmack who died Jan. 17, 1969. Surviving are a son, James of Marietta, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Earl Snider, and three sisters, Flora Baer, Nellie Monroe and Bessie Coate. She had been clerk/treasurer at the Coldwater Public Library for 18 years and was a member of Coldwater United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Mercer County Council on Aging and the Celina Senior Citizens. She also was past matron of Celina Chapter 91, Order of Eastern Star. Private family services will be Thursday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Allen Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery. There is no public visitation. Contributions can be made to Hospice of Auglaize County or Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community. Richard Miller
Richard D. "Bing" Miller, 93, of Lima, died at 2:55 p.m. June 13, 2005, at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 17, 1911, to Ernest and Lillian Mahoney Miller. On Feb. 14, 1934, he married Doris L. Protsman who died in 1991. Surviving are a son, Dick J. (JoEllen) of St. Marys; three daughters, Jackie (Jim) Mack and Dee Dee (Ron) Benedict, all of Lima, and Sonya (Mike) Hatfield, Wapakoneta; a sister, Louise York, Sun Lakes, Ariz.; a stepbrother, Glenn Miller, Piqua; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Warren; three sisters, Kate Shenk, Armenta Mumaugh and Mary Jane Miller; and a stepsister, Marceil Lawler. He retired as superintendent at BLH/Clark Equipment, Lima, and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Masonic Lodge 205 and South Side Christian Church, all of Lima. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Siferd Westwood Chapel, Lima, the Rev. Douglas Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Bluelick Cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Everardo John "Lalo" Rodriguez, 63, 321 Leona St., Celina, died June 13, 2005, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Death was due to natural causes. He was born Aug. 19, 1941, in Crystal City, Texas, to Benito and Ninfa Enrigueta Saucedo Rodriguez. On March 15, 1970, he married Lavada Orick who died June 14, 2004. Surviving are a son, Rick (Ada) Hilton, Celina; two brothers, Ben (Patsy) of Montezuma and James (Betty Lou) of Celina; two sisters, Rosario (Kato) Briones, Auburn, Ind., and Carmen (David) Voskuhl, Celina; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Ray and Henry, are deceased. He was a maintenance worker at Celina Aluminum Precision Technology and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post, also of Celina. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Contributions can be made to the Immaculate Conception Endowment Fund. |
