Gregory Elliott Former Celina resident Gregory Stowe Elliott, 39, of Waterford, Mich., died April 26, 2005, at his home. Death was due to natural causes. He was born May 27, 1965, in Evanston, Ill., to Charles Rose and Toni Lacey Rose Elliott. His father survives in Colorado. Also surviving are a sister, Kirsten Elliott, Waterford; an aunt and uncle, Nicki and Ralph Stelzer, Celina, with whom he had resided for several years; and a nephew. Services were April 30 at Riverside Waterford Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial followed at Crescent Hills Cemetery. Odessa Klopfleisch
Odessa Klopfleisch, 86, of Celina, died early today, June 16, 2005, at the Miller House, Celina. Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church, Celina. Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, has charge of arrangements. A complete obituary will appear in Friday's paper. Raphael Meyer
Raphael A. Meyer, 80, 1603 Miami-Shelby Road, Russia, died at 11:45 p.m. June 15, 2005, at Piqua Manor nursing home. He was born April 27, 1925, in Shelby County, to Henry and Elenora Gehret Meyer. On April 27, 1968, he married Lois Free who died May 19, 1994. Surviving are two brothers, Clarence (Ruth Ann) of Fort Loramie and Sylvester (Jean) of Covington; three sisters, Marcella (Robert) Tebbe, Mary Margaret (Henry) Fullenkamp and Leola (Frances) Hoying, all of Russia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, John, and an infant sister, Rita, are deceased. He was a retired farmer, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Calling is 3-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Contributions can be made to Father Mark Meyer's Maryknoll mission work in Bolivia.
