Harold Bollenbacher

Harold J. Bollenbacher, 75, of Rockford, died at 2:50 p.m. July 4, 2005, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
   He was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Adams County, Ind., to Harold A. and Martha White Bollenbacher. On Feb. 10, 1951, he married Loella Friedly who survives.
   Also surviving are three daughters, Debra (Tom) Reichard, Fort Wayne, Ind., Peg of Van Wert, and Toni (Steve) Fisher, Rockford; two brothers, Robert and Tim, both of Rockford; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
   Two brothers, Jim and Randall, died in infancy.
   He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds, Celina, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lions Club and Shanes Crossing Historical Club, all of Rockford.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Mike Berne officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
   Calling is 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the church or Shanes Park.


Bevan Linn

Bevan Wilbur Linn, 86, 141 Skeels Road, Celina, died July 4, 2005, at his home.
   He was born May 27, 1919, in Liberty Township, to Christ and Anna Gahm Linn. On April 28, 1944, he married Romania Zumbrink who died April 25, 1993.
   Surviving are a daughter, Linda of Celina; and two sisters-in-law, Leona Everman and Lorena Vannett, both of Coldwater.
   Deceased are a brother, William, and four sisters, Bertha Donovan, Edith Fennig, Clara Weil and Laura Nelson.
   He had worked at New Idea in Coldwater for 32 years and was a member of the United Steelworkers and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, Coldwater. He attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, and St. Mary of the Presentation Catholic Church, Geneva, Ind.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Rockford church, the Rev. Jerry Flueckiger officiating. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater, and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
   Contributions can be made to the Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville.


Danny Moody

Danny E. Moody, 55, of Rossburg, died at 10:30 a.m. July 4, 2005, in a traffic accident on U.S. 27 near Liberty, Ind.
   He was born Sept, 16, 1949, in Greenville, to Lee Sr. and Laura Shook Moody. On Oct. 2, 1971, he married Rebecca A. Jones who also died in the same accident.
   Surviving are two sons, Kelly (Cristy) of Versailles and Stacy (Christine) of Rossburg; a daughter, Jackie (Jeff) Sanders, Greenville; three brothers, Lee Jr. (Bea), Harry (June) and Jim (Gail), all of Ansonia; a sister, Darlene (J.C.) Waymire, Greenville; and four grandchildren.
   He retired as a machinist from Minster Machine Co. and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Triple M Tack, both of Rossburg, and the United Steelworkers Union,
   Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, the Revs. Kelly Moody and Ed Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the Darke County Cancer Association.


Rebecca Moody

Rebecca A. "Becky" Moody, 51, of Rossburg, died shortly after 10:30 a.m. July 4, 2005, of injuries received in a traffic accident on U.S. 27 near Liberty, Ind.
   She was born Sept. 30, 1953, in Preble County, to the Rev. Gordon R. and Peggy J. Swartz Jones. Her father survives in Greenville. On Oct. 2, 1971, she married Danny E. Moody who died in the same accident.
   Surviving are two sons, Kelly (Cristy) of Versailles and Stacy (Christine) of Rossburg; a daughter, Jackie (Jeff) Sanders, Greenville; two brothers, Rick (Debbie) Jones, Arcanum, and Chris (Karen) Jones, Greenville; a sister, Amy (Jeff) Lawson, Gordon; and four grandchildren.
   She had been employed as a cashier at Family Health in Greenville for 15 years and was a member of Rossburg United Methodist Church, where she had played piano for 28 years.
   Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, the Revs. Kelly Moody and Ed Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the Darke County Cancer Association.


Dennis Oliver

Celina native Dennis Owen Oliver, 63, of West Jefferson, died July 3, 2005, at his home. Death was due to natural causes.
   He was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Celina, to Harold and Hazel Elmore Oliver.
   Surviving with his wife, the former Martha C. Kneuss, are a son, Roger (Angie) Coate, Westerville; two daughters, Desiree Freeman and Jaclyn (Rob) Drummond, all of West Chester; three grandsons and a niece.
   Deceased are an infant son, a brother, Harold, and a grandson.
   He had worked at Creative Paint in Worthington, B & A Paint in Columbus and Top Driver of Worthington. He was a Host Program tutor in the Jefferson Local School District and a driving instructor for high school students.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Rader-McDonald Funeral Home, West Jefferson.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
