Kathy Cotterman Former St. Marys resident Kathy Cotterman, 64, 410 Hawkins St., Carrollton, Ky., died at 5:45 p.m. July 18, 2005, at Kings Daughter's Hospital, Madison, Ind. Death was due to natural causes. She was born Sept. 9, 1940, in Lexington, Ky., to Daniel and Lucille Breeze Paul. On Nov. 21, 1959, she married Ronnie Cotterman Sr. who died Dec. 16, 2001. Surviving are a son, Mark (Nikki) of Celina; a daughter, Darlene (Ryan) O'Harra, Carrollton; two brothers, Samuel Paul, Celina, and Daniel Paul, Nicholasville, Ky.; two sisters, Ruth Briley, Carrollton, and Lillian Vanover, Celina; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sons, Ronnie Jr. and Robert; a brother and a sister. She was a homemaker. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys. James E. Cunningham, 71, 8056 U.S. 33, died at 9:30 a.m. July 19, 2005, at his home. He was born Sept. 14, 1933, in St. Marys, to Newell and Anna Mueller Cunningham. On Dec. 31, 1960, he married Rebecca Haas who survives. Also surviving are a son, James A. of Celina; a daughter, Jan (Alan) Bruggeman, St. Marys; a brother, Richard Cunningham, Rockford; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. He had been chief engineer at the former Speicher Brothers Co., Celina, and retired from Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767, St. Marys, where he had been a bartender for many years. He also owned JC Gun Shop and built and raced hydroplanes, including the 1969 North American and National High Point Champion. A 1951 graduate of Neptune High School, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 323, St. Marys, and the Rockford Masonic Lodge, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial with military honors will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
