Irene Allen

Irene Lois Allen, 77, of Somerset Center, died at 10:26 p.m. Aug. 18, 2005, at Fairfield Medical Center.
   She was born Feb. 16, 1928, in Perry County, to Floyd A. and Evalyn Walser Mitchell. Her husband, Celina native Stanley W. Allen, died Dec. 26, 1986.
   Surviving are a sister-in-law, Shirley M. Mitchell, Somerset; two nephews, Jeffrey Allen (Tonya) Mitchell, Somerset, and Ronald D. Mitchell, Reynoldsburg; a great-nephew, Mason Mitchell; and a great-niece, Olivia Somerset.
   Deceased is a brother, Kenneth E. Mitchell.
   She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church near Somerset.
   Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial is at Mount Perry Cemetery.
   Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Pope-Thomas Funeral Home, Somerset.


Edna Edwards

Edna E. Edwards, 89, 12047 Thelma Drive, Minster, died at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 18, 2005, at her home.
   She was born June 17, 1916, in Covington, Ky., to Clymo and Freda Hoffman Helson. On May 13, 1932, she married James W. Edwards who is deceased.
   Surviving are two sons, James Albert (Nancy) of Florida, and Philip Charles (Jeannette) of Falmouth, Ky.; a companion, Larry Noll, Minster; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a son, Jesse Joseph; and two brothers, Hilliard and Peter Helson.
   A licensed practical nurse, she retired after 25 years at St. Francis Hospital, Cincinnati. She received her nursing license from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and American Legion post 355, both of Fort Loramie, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary lodge 1391, Minster, and the Kentucky Colonel Club.
   Funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
   Contributions can be made to the donor's choice.


Richard Andrews

Services for Richard Andrews were held at 10 a.m. Aug. 19, 2005, at Ketchum-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, the Rev. Karen Long officiated. A tape of his favorite music was played and a poem written by his daughter, Amanda Andrews, was read.
   Pallbearers to Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina, were Rob and Paul Frank, Jeff Ketchum, Bruce Berry, and Leland and Jason Alhaney.


Ardith Felver

Services for Ardith Felver were held at 3 p.m. Aug. 18, 2005, at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny Jr. officiated.
   Burial was held at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, with graveside rites conducted by American Legion post 219 and Veterans of Foreign Wars post 5713, both of Celina.


Ruby Roebuck

Services for Ruby Roebuck were held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 18, 2005, at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Dean Bruce officiated. Organist was Brenda Willrath.
   Pallbearers to Tomlinson Cemetery in Union Township were Mike and Greg Roebuck, Andy Scheidt and Mark Koester.
