Florence Adams Florence Margaret Adams, 87, 5780 Erastus-Durbin Road, Celina, died Aug. 28, 2005, at the Miller House in Celina. She was born April 6, 1918, in Mercer County, to Charles and Catherine Seibert Weisman. On April 9, 1939, she married Robert C. Adams who is deceased. Survivors are three sons, Donald (Rita) of Madill, Okla., Alan (Janet) of Coldwater, and David (Pat) of Celina; two daughters, Elaine (John) McGriff, Science Hill, Ky., and Linda (Tom) Schelich, Beaverton, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Oscar and Russell Weisman and an infant brother; a sister, Mabel Frahm; and two grandchildren. She formerly worked for Mercer Landmark Inc., Celina, and was a graduate of Celina High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Coldwater, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the ELCA Lutheran Women. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Arvid A. Harklau officiating. Burial is at Wabash Lutheran Cemetery. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and at 10 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Norma M. Felver, 80, 522 N. Cherry St., Celina, died at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 30, 2005, at her home. She was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Mercer County, to Fred and Stella Reynolds Sealscott. On Aug. 25, 1946, she married Lowell Felver who survives. Also surviving are a son, Floyd (Rosemary) of Celina; a daughter-in-law, Linda Seibel, Celina; and four grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Jeffrey Lee; a brother, Robert Sealscott; and a sister, Dorothy Miller. She was a retired school cafeteria manager in Celina, a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, Celina, and a 1942 graduate of Celina High School. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will follow at Buck Cemetery. Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Br. Stephen Lauer, C.PP.S., 82, died at 3:15 a.m. Aug. 28, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born April 8, 1923, in Toledo, to Fred and Albina Ernst Lauer. Survivors are two brothers, Robert (Mary Ann) of Toledo, and Daniel of Leawood, Kan.; a sister, Carol (Gerald) Harms, Somerset Center, Mich.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-newphews. Deceased is a brother, Tom. He entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1945 and was professed in 1946. He served several years at the St. Marys Novitate in Burkettsville and worked several more years at a high school seminary in Canton. In 1964, he was assigned to St. Charles, where he spent the rest of his life. Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles, the Rev. Angelo Anthony officiating. Burial is at the St. Charles cemetery. Calling is 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at St. Charles, where a prayer service is set for 7 p.m. Contributions can be made to the St. Charles Center. E. Florence McCandless, 74, a resident of the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford, died at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 30, 2005, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. She was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Cherry Hill, N.J., to John and Elizabeth McGinnis Spear. Surviving are a son, Michael (Kathy) of Mount Holly, N.J.; a daughter, Terri (Karl) Gast, St. Henry; and seven grandchildren. Two sisters, Anne Spear and Catherine Longstreet, are deceased. She was a licensed practical nurse, a homemaker and a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating.
