Elsie Grilliot

Elsie M. Grilliot, 93, 13062 Reed Road, Yorkshire, died at 9 a.m., Sept. 19, 2005, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.
   She was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Darke County, to Cleo and Nellie Christian Schlecty. On Nov. 9, 1966, she married Robert J. Grilliot, who survives.
   Also surviving are Wanda Baker, Celina, and Jimmy Seman, Versailles, and their children; one brother, Norman Schlecty, Yorkshire; and two sisters, Leona Dickey, Rossburg, and Marybel Weaver, Versailles.
   Deceased are two brothers, Paul and Raymond Schlecty; and two sisters, Carol Trittschuh and Mabel Cain.
   She was a member of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 588, Osgood.
   Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the church, the Rev. John E. Porter officiating. Burial will be at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.

Mary Riethman

Mary Catherine Riethman, 80, 2 B Greenhills Drive, Minster, died Sept. 18, 2005, at her residence.
   She was born Nov. 14, 1924, to Bernard and Catherine Buehler Ruschau. On June 22, 1946, she married Wilfred G. Riethman who died on April 25, 2001.
   Surviving are four sons, Ronald (Eileen) and Donald (Kendra), all of Minster, Bill (Nancy), New Bremen, and Frederick (Nancy), Coldwater; four daughters, Barbara (Steve) Bradford, Columbus, Patricia (Henry) Barhorst, Fort Loramie, and Karen (Paul) Frey, and Chris (Harold) Long, all of New Bremen; one brother Wilfred (Luella), Dayton; three sisters-in-law, Viona Ruschau, Tipp City, Helen Ruschau, Dayton, and Pauline Ruschau, St. Marys; 22 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are seven brothers.
   She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391 Auxiliary, and New Bremen Senior Citizens, all of Minster. She retired as a cook from Heritage Manor Nursing Center.
   Funeral service is 10 a.m., Thursday, at the church, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m., Wednesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
   Contributions can be made to St. Peter Neurological Center and Minster Area Life Squad.
