Rose Koverman

Rose E. Koverman, 74, 126 Miller Road, Russia, died at 3:15 a.m. Oct. 26, 2005, at her residence.
   She was born June 24, 1931, in Shelby County, to Alfred and Magdelene Monnin Alexander. On Aug. 30, 1952, she married Roger C. Koverman, who died March 22, 2002.
   Surviving are five sons, Lawrence (Kathy) of Cridersville, Michael (Trudy) of Versailles, Daniel (Rosie) of Russia, Mark (Kathy) of Fort Loramie, and Douglas (Karen) of Russia; three daughters, Yvonne (Joseph) Miller, Sidney, Deborah (Richard) Holthaus, Anna, and Beverly (David) Tebbe, Minster; a brother, Joseph Alexander, Troy; a sister-in-law, Theresa Alexander, Troy; 28 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a brother, Firman Alexander and a grandchild.
   She was a homemaker and a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, where she was a lector and a member of St. Ann Altar Sodialty.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:45 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.


Roberta Spriggs

Former Celina resident, Roberta A. Spriggs, 95, of Harrison, Ark., died at 10 p.m. Oct. 21, 2005, at North Arkansas Medical Center, Harrison, Ark.
   She was born May 4, 1910, in Argus, Ind., to Robert and Nora Casey Kuhn. On June 21, 1947, she married Richard T. Spriggs, of Sidney.
   Surviving are a son, Stephen (Vicki) of Frankfort, Ind.; and a daughter, Ellen (Joseph) Spriggs Kelty, Harrison, Ark.
   Deceased are three sisters, Mary Jane Coleman, Eleanor Houseworth and Jeanette McGraw.
   She was a secretary at Coplin Refrigeration and sold Stanley Products. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Altar Sodality, Celina, and was a Girl Scout leader and worked with the Boy Scouts.
   Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Nov. 5, at the church, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Garden.


Shane Toler

Shane D. Toler, 32, 215 N. Main St., New Bremen, died Oct. 24, 2005, at a residence in St. Marys. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
   He was born Nov. 6, 1972, in Hamilton, to Vera Cooper, Big Stone Gap, Va., and Frank Toler, Kingsport, Tenn. Both survive.
   Also surviving are a daughter, Amanda of Findlay; two brothers, Richard of Tenn., and Shawn, New Bremen; a sister, Alisha (Erick) Bowen, Clinchport, Va.; and grandparents, Dewey and Margaret Cooper, New Bremen.
   He worked at Freytag and Associates, Minster.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
