Doris Czech

Doris V. Czech, 82, 29 Cardinal St., New Bremen, died in the early morning Oct. 25, 2005, at her residence.
   She was born June 25, 1923, in Celina, to Carl H. and Jessie Hudson Sanders. In 1944, she married Kurt P. Dale, who died in 1960. In Sept. 1962, she married Hans Czech, who died May 31, 1995.
   Survivors are a son, Pete (Billie) Czech, Jackson Center; a daughter, Sylvia (Bob) Krohn, Fairfield Glades, Tenn.; a sister, Mary Kettler, New Bremen; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a daughter, Daflin Byrd; four brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren.
   She was a civil service employee and homemaker. She was a member of Russell Road Christian Center, Sidney, and active in their seniors ministry. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Vandalia.
   Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Fred Gillenwater officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Burge Cemetery, Montezuma.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.


Willa Dailey

Willa B.H. Dailey, 71, 132 Windsor Drive, St. Marys, died Oct. 22, 2005, at Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City, Ill.
   She was born March 31, 1934, Salinas, Calif., to R.C. and Orpha Pirtle Corbett. Her mother survives in Celina. On Feb. 18, 1952, she married Donald Dailey, who died Oct. 12, 2005.
   Survivors are four daughters, Colleen (Michael) Duncan, Sacramento, Calif., and Susan (Dwayne) Smith, New Bremen, Debrar (Timothy) Morford, Clovis, Calif., and Christie (Erik) Prock, Noblesville, Ind.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
   She was a retired loan officer from Central Valley Credit Union, Modesto, Calif.
   Services will be private under the direction of Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.


Nora Deitsch

Nora (Florene) Deitsch, 83, 1902 Barnsbury Court, Celina, died at 1:20 p.m. Oct. 27, 2005, at Colonial Nursing Home, Rockford.
   Calling is 2-6 Sunday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. Funeral is 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga.


David Luebke

David Luebke, 58, 226 N. Herman St., New Bremen, died at 12:05 p.m. Oct. 24, 2005, at his residence due to cancer. He had been ill for a year.
   He was born June 21, 1947, in Piqua, to Lawrence and Rosalee Schemmel Luebke, who survive in Minster. He was engaged to Anna Luedeke, who survives in New Bremen.
   Also surviving are two daughters, Gina (Adrian) Navarrette, Poughquag, N.Y., and Cheryl of New Rochell, N.Y.; three brothers, Dan of New Bremen, Larry (Jennifer) of Minster and Bruce of Celina; five sisters, Diane (Jim) Boerger, Cleveland, Nancy (Joe), Minster, Sandy (Larry) Hoying, Minster, Brenda (Craig) Sherman, Powell, and Elaine (Roy) Brown, Minster; and two grandchildren.
   Deceased is a sister-in-law, Ann Luebke.
   He worked at Mahattanville College, N.Y.; Dannon Company, Minster; and Kentucky Fried Chicken, New Bremen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391, Minster, and a 1964 graduate of Minster High School.
   Services were 10 a.m. today at St. Augustine Church, Minster, the Rev. Louis Schmit officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.
   Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
