Richard Chaffins

Richard Chaffins, 77, 601 Royal Oak Drive, St. Marys, died at 2:15 p.m. Oct. 28, 2005, at his home.
   Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Nora Deitsch

Nora F. Deitsch, 83, 1902 Barnsbury Court, Celina, died at 1:20 p.m. Oct. 27, 2005, at the Colonial Nursing Home, Rockford.
   She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Black Creek Township near Willshire, to Homer V. and Christina Sipe Buchanan. On Feb. 6, 1943, she married Leroy Bollenbacher, who died May 23, 1974. On June 4, 1977, she married Gerald C. Deitsch, who died Dec. 29, 2001.
   Surviving are two sons, Roger (Linda) of Mead, Colo., and Rick (Deb) of Monroe, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Phyllis (Larry) White, Vandalia; a sister, Martha Murphy, Kokomo, Ind.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
   Deceased are two brothers, Claude and Ralph Buchanan.
   She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chattanooga, and its Ladies Society, and a former member of the Friendship Village Club, Blue Creek Township, Ind.
   Services are 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Randall Swanson officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
   Contributions can be made to the church.


Robert Sweigart

Robert R. Sweigart, 92, died at 1:50 a.m. Oct. 21, 2005, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Living Community, St. Marys, where he was a resident.
   He was born April 5, 1913, in Mercer County, to Joseph and Bertha Sweigart. On Sept. 7, 1947, he married Vannie Jean Now, who died in March of 1990. On Sept. 22, 1995, he married Marcel Mae Lake, who died March 25, 2002.
   Surviving is a sister, Martha Mae Enyart of Mercer County, and several nieces and nephews.
   Deceased are two brothers, Perry and Frank; and two sisters, Irene Sweigart and Hazel Enyart.
   He was the former manager of Landmark.
   Services are 4 p.m. Tuesday at Otterbein St. Marys, the Rev. Larry Hopkins officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys, and 3-4 p.m. Tuesday at Otterbein St. Marys.
