Mildred Freewalt

Mildred M. Freewalt, 85, 505 Augustus St., St. Marys, died at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 23, 2005, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
   She was born May 11, 1920, in Waynesfield, to Dennis and Blanche Edmondscon Dudgeon. On Dec. 18, 1937, in Florence, Ky., she married Robert L. Freewalt, who died in 1993.
   Survivors are four sons, Ronald L. of Fredricksburg, and Gerald, Gregory B. (Chris) and Wayne (Sandy), all of St. Marys; a brother, Donald (Joann) Dudgeon, Mendon; a sister, Chloe Butler, Wapakoneta; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
   Deceased are a son, Kenneth; a sister, Flo Dudgeon; a brother-in-law, Glen Butler; and a daughter-in-law, Mary.
   She was a homemaker, farm wife and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, after 30 years as a punch press operator. She was a graduate of the former Mendon High School and a member of the Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys, and the Auglaize County Council on Aging.
   Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, the Revs. Ed Groff and Mary Kay Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 3-8 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys.
   Contributions can be made to the church.


Lois Pierce

Lois Helen Pierce, 76, 626 N. Spruce St., St. Marys, died 5:30 p.m. Nov. 24, 2005, at the Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys.
   Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.


Charles Strait

Charles Robert "Strawberry" Strait, 42, of New Weston, died Nov. 22, 2005, at the Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, due to heart problems.
   He was born Dec. 24, 1962, in Greenville, to Charles and Ruth Rue Strait. His mother survives in Union City.
   Also surviving is a sister, Gale Vasquez, Rockford.
   Deceased are a brother, Gary, and a sister, Renea K.
   He was a farmer and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fort Recovery.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, the Rev. David Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Shooks Cemetery, New Weston.
   Calling is after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
