Martha Archer Martha M. Archer, 89, 335 Sunset Drive, Mendon, died Dec. 16, 2005, at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born Feb. 29, 1916, in Rockford, to Dale and Hilla (Figley) Koontz. On Feb. 26, 1938, she married Henry Hugh "Jeff" Archer, who died May 9, 1992.
Survivors are a sister, Rhea Duvall of Bluefield, W.Va.; a brother-in-law, Bob Duvall of Bluefield, W.Va.; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Koontz of Rockford, and Martha Koontz of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Lawrence and Homer Koontz.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church, the Mendon United Methodist Quilters Group and the Mendon Order of the Eastern Star 259.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Paul Bunnell officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 4 - 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
