Ann Bargdill

Ann Bargdill, 76, 314 S. East St., New Knoxville, died at 7:53 p.m. Dec. 21, 2005, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, following a brief illness.
   She was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Gnats Run, W.Va., the daughter of Lloyd and Lenora Eddy Boyce. She married Gerald Bargdill, who survives in Bellefontaine.
   Also surviving are a son, Stephen (Connie) of New Bremen; and a daughter, Jo (Larry) Gruber, St. Marys; four sisters, Carlla Inskeep, North Lewisburg, Norma Richardson, Bellefontaine, and Orma Hoge and Karen Rettig, both of Findlay; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Boyce, Rockford; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a brother, Robert Boyce; and two sisters, Helen Richards and Doris Thompson.
   She was a graduate of York Center High School, Union County. She attended New Life Christian Center, Celina.
   Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Don Coil

Former Decatur, Ind., resident, Don R. Coil, 87, 413 Wayne St., Celina, died at 5:35 a.m. Dec. 23, 2005, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   Arrangements are pending at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.


Mae Rogers

Center Township native Mae Florence Rogers, 90, Sacramento, Calif., died Dec. 17, 2005.
   She was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Center Township, to Purn and Rhoda Newcomb Copeland.
   On Feb 23, 1935, she married Floyd Richard Rogers, who died Oct. 21, 2003.
   Survivors are a son, Carl (Diane) of Lincoln, Calif.; two daughters, Ann (LeRoy) Munsch, Sacramento, and Barbara (Ed) Hulac, Camarillo, Calif.; a sister, Hazel (Wayne) Fireoved, Mendon; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
   She was active in Arcade Baptist Church, Sacramento. She taught Sunday school and a Bible class.
   A memorial service was held Dec. 21.
   Contributions can be made to Gideons International.


Vernon Waugh

Former Gallipolis resident, Vernon Ray Waugh, 51, 1001 Myers Road, Celina, died at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 22, 2005 at Joint Township Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He died of natural causes.
   He was born Sept. 17, 1954, in Gallipolis, to Charles L. and Erma J. Brumfield Waugh.
   Survivors are a brother, Charles L. (Linda) of Celina; and two sisters, Jackie Suver, Celina, and Santa R. (Mark) Suver, Gallipolis.
   Deceased is a sister, Vesta Charlotte Waugh.
   He was currently working in the Cheryl Ann Programs and farmed in southern Ohio. He played in Special Olympics. He was the president of the residence council at Celina Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church, Gallipolis.
   Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Todd Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Gallipolis.
   Calling is 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home, Gallipolis.
