Janice Place Janice Place, 72, 10988 state Route 364, St. Marys, died at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 29, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following a sudden illness.
Arrangements are pending at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Betty Shindeldecker
Former Celina resident, Betty Shindeldecker, 84, 18458 Kneller Road, Ohio City, died at 12:03 p.m. Dec. 28, 2005, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born July 7, 1921, in Wapakoneta, to Charles and Cornelia Shawn Wehner. On March 23, 1940, she married Frank Shindeldecker, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Frank Jr. of Ohio City; two daughters, Jean (Terrill) Giese, Leo, Ind., and Janet (Lee) Rice, Dublin, Va.; a brother, John Wehner, Wapakoneta; a sister, Jean of Rockford; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She worked in the housekeeping department at the Laurels of Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford. She was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star, both in Rockford.
Private family services will be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys.
Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, will handle arrangements.
