Dorthy Prueter Dorothy Prueter, 85, 2 Eastmoor Court, New Bremen, died at 9:34 p.m. Jan. 19, 2006, at Valley Nursing Home, St. Marys. She was born July 25, 1920, in Bellvue, Ohio, to Chester and Elsie (Kitchen) Zent. On Sept. 11, 1964, she married Paul Prueter, who died July 14, 1994. Surviving are one son, Berl Cattell of Chicago, III.; two brothers-in-law, Gib (Jean) Prueter of New Knoxville and Don Prueter of New Knoxville; two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Wayne) Bambauer of New Knoxville and Dorothy Prueter of New Knoxville. Deceased is a brother, Lester Zent. She worked at Copeland Corporation in Sidney as a manager of corporate travel and entertainment until retirement. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville and was a 1937 graduate of Findlay High School. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, the Rev. Mitch Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Calling is 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. M. Joan Boyer Burt, 77, of Elmview, died at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 19, 2006 at her home. She was born July 22, 1928, in Waynesfield to Clair Roger and Margaret Beryl Swartz Gossard. On June 30, 1946, she married John Boyer, who died Sept. 29, 1982. On Oct. 3, 1992, she married John I. Burt, who died June 14, 2002. Surviving are a son, Ronald C. (Vicky) Boyer of Wapokoneta; three daughters, Sharyn D. (Ronnie L.) Cox of Whitesburg, Ga., Nancy J. (Larry D.) Cox of Lima and Debra S. (Greg) Richeson of Spencerville; a step-daughter, Judy (Dave) Garrison of Lima; five brothers, Clair Roger (Jeanette) Gossard of Delphos, Thomas (Joan) Gossard of Lima, Lewis (Norma) Gossard and Robert (Helen) Gossard of Lima and Jerry (Sylvia) Gossard of Cridersville; two sisters, Ruth Gossard of Lima and Sue Ackerman (Jerry) Black of Palm City, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Boyer of Spencerville and Betty Bowsher of Spencerville; special friend, Harold Wolff of Lima;13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Deceased is a great grandchild. She worked at the former Porter Music Store, Johnson Gift Store and Lazaraus Store all in Lima. She was a member of the Plum Street Bible Church in Wapokneta. She was a 1946 graduate of Spencerville High School. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Rex Schrolucke and her son, Rev. Ronald Boyer, officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Calling is 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to the Plum Street Bible Church. |
