Ronald Barna Ronald T. Barna, 67, of Rockford, died at 1:05 p.m. Feb. 2, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born Sept. 17, 1938, in Oakland County, Mich., to Sylvester and Julia Kaschak Barna. On Nov. 9, 1963, he married Lucille Homan who survives. Other survivors are three sons, Shane (Carla), Ladd and Alan (Nikki), all of Rockford; two daughters, Tomi, and Karen (George) Schaffner, all of Rockford; three brothers, Gene (Sue) and Dick, all of Rockford, and Bill (Madelyn), Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Betty Belna, Rockford; and eight grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Robert. He was a truck driver for Sauder Manufacturing, Grabill, Ind. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Rockford, Eagles Aerie 1292 and American Legion Post 508, all of Rockford. He served in the U.S. Navy. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Barry C. Helman, 52, 329 N. Ohio Ave., Sidney, died at 11:15 p.m. Feb. 2, 2006, at the Pub Lounge in Sidney where he worked. Death was due to an apparent heart attack. He was born April 11, 1953, in Sidney, to Dale N. and Vera Jeannette Pitsenbarger Helman. His father survives in Houston. On Sept. 16, 1977, he married Donna Young, who died Dec. 20, 1993. Other survivors are three sons, Craig Schaffner, Piqua, and Barry Allen and Fredrick, both of Piqua; two stepdaughters, Mary Snyder, Celina, and Anna Bash, Portland, Ind.; a brother, Ted D. of Sidney; two sisters, Pam (Gary) Ginn and Kimberly, all of Houston; three grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Deceased is an infant brother. A 1971 graduate of Houston High School, he was employed at the Pub Lounge and was a member of Oran Christian Church, both of Sidney. Michael Anthony Hess, 52, of 1112 Princeton Ave., Celina, died at 1:05 p.m. Feb. 2, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Death was due to natural causes. He was born Jan. 14, 1954, in Coldwater, to John E. and Esther M. Budde Hess, who survive in Celina. Survivors are a son, Jalen of Celina; a daughter, Megan of Celina; the mother of his children, Julie of Celina; five brothers, Ronald of Coldwater, Richard and Kenneth of Celina, Charles of New Bremen, and Gary (Marjorie) of Fort Recovery; a sister, Carol (Ed) Dues, Fort Recovery; and a brother-in-law, Donald Neace, St. Marys. Deceased are a brother, Steve Hess, and a sister, Mary Neace. He was employed at Stock Building Supply, Celina, and drove truck part-time for Cheeseman Trucking Co. He was a 1972 Celina High School graduate and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma, the Rev.
