Arthur Lee Mercer County native Arthur E. Lee, 90, died April 6, 2006, at The Towne House Health Center, Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born April 1, 1916, in Mercer County to Robert H. and Nona Mae Smith Lee. On July 31, 1937, he married Vivian Brookhart who died in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth A., Jupiter, Fla., and Ned E., Fort Wayne; a daughter, M. Luanne Carson, Hobe Sound, Fla.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Robert E. Lee. He was an accountant with Agway Inc. for 45 years and a member of Grace-St. John United Church of Christ, both of Fort Wayne. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, the Rev. Julia A. Goodall officiating. A graveside service and burial is at 1 p.m. Monday at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Francis Edward Pickering, 81, Shawtown Community, Tenn., died April 6, 2006 at his home. He was born June 22, 1924, in West Alexandria, to Karl Victor and Eva Roach Pickering. On Jan. 3, 1945, he married Evelyn Philips who survives. Other survivors are a son, Leslie (Gwen), Dayton, Texas; a daughter, Fran (Harry) Cotterman, Union City, Tenn.; three brothers, Joe, Wapakoneta, Ralph, New Bremen, and Bob, Gainesville, Fla.; three sisters, Hazel Heinfeld, Ada, Karlene Speicher, Wapakoneta, and Anita Anderson, Celina; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Judy M. Weagant, 60, 102 E. Center St., Fort Recovery, died April 7, 2006, at her home. Death was due to natural causes. She was born Feb. 5, 1946, in Mendon, to Lester and Myrtle Knittle Bricker. Her mother survives in Portland, Ind. On Nov. 14, 1967, she married Jim Weagant who survives. Other survivors are a son, Mike (Carolyn), Fort Recovery; two daughters, Jodie, Dunkirk, Ind., and Janelle, Fort Recovery; a brother, Fred (Pat) Bricker, Portland, Ind.; two sisters, Marjorie Frazier, Kissimmee, Fla., and Jackie (Bruce) Petschke, Portland; and five grandchildren. Deceased is a granddaughter. She was employed at Fort Recovery Industries and formerly worked at CTS, Berne, Ind. She was a 1964 graduate of Portland High School. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery. Burial is at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
