Lavern Balster

Lavern Balster, 57, 1124 Pennyroyal Lane, Celina, died at 4:15 p.m. April 11, 2006, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
   Arrangements are pending at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.


Robert Hausfeld

Robert G. Hausfeld, 51, of South Fulton, Tenn., died the morning of April 9, 2006, at his residence of a sudden illness.
   He was born March 14, 1955, in Coldwater, to Roman and Mildred Davis Hausfeld. Both parents survive.
   Also surviving are a daughter, Veronica M. Hausfeld, Shortsville, N.Y.; a brother, Joe (Lisa), West Carrollton; six sisters, Marilyn Hart, Miamisburg, Pat Clough, Maria Stein, Marti (Dave) Hissong, Centerville, Theresa (PJ) Garlock, Lima, Joan (Jan) Kentner, Wapakoneta, and Annie (Mike) Bollheimer, Fort Loramie, and a grandson.
   He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys and Union City, Tenn. He was a 1973 Marion Local High School graduate and a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Schroeder officiating. Burial of cremated remains is in the church cemetery.
   Calling is 5-8 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.


Vernon Heckman

Vernon C. "Bud" Heckman, 84, 255 N. Hanover St., Minster, died 1:20 a.m. April 11, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster, where he was a resident since January.
   He was born March 18, 1922, in Minster, to Charles and Augusta Kuhlman Heckman. On May 25, 1946, he married Dorothy Weadock, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Craig (Nancy), Yorkshire, and Clark (Michelle), Minster; a daughter, Christine Warfield, Bexley; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a sister, Helen Fischer and a grandson.
   He retired after 44 years in the pattern shop at Minster Machine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster Historical Society, Minster Civic Association and American Legion Post 387, also of Minster.
   Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Full military honors will be presented at graveside by Minster Firing Squad.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and noon-12:30 p.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
   Contributions can be made to the Auglaize County Relay for Life.


Enid Reineke

Enid Reineke, 92, 403 North Front St., St. Marys, died at 8:55 p.m. April 10, 2006, at Mount Carmel Hospital East Hospital, Columbus.
   She was born April 17, 1913, near Kossuth, to Benjamin and Lillie Kellermeyer Eisley. On May 4, 1946, she married Frederick Reineke, who died Feb. 7, 1988.
   Survivors are a son, Bernard, Columbus; a daughter, Susan (Thomas) Schaffer, Gahanna; a sister, Thelma Bruner, Wapakoneta; and three grandchildren.
   Deceased is a sister, Lucille Gayer.
   She was a homemaker and a longtime volunteer at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. She was a 1931 graduate of Spencerville High School and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys.
   Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Chapel of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, St. Marys, the Revs. Carol Sainey and Pat Minnick officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
   Calling is after 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel.
   Contributions can be made to Operation Safe Guard at the St. Marys Fire Department or Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
   Arrangements are being handled by Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
