Lavern Balster Lavern F. "Vern" Balster, 57, 1124 Pennyroyal Lane, Celina, died 4:15 p.m. April 11, 2006, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Death was due to natural causes. He was born June 23, 1948, in Celina, to Herman and Alvina Lange Balster. On July 1, 1972, he married Patricia Houts, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Matt, Columbus; a daughter, Jenny (Scott) Conn, Celina; and two grandchildren. For 18 years he was a driver for the Moeller Trucking Co., Maria Stein. He was a 1966 graduate of Celina High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713, American Legion Post 210 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473, all of Celina. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Church Cemetery, Celina. Military honors will be provided by the Legion and VFW. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Lehman-Hogankamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina. Ronald D. Rammel, 59, of St. Marys, died April 11, 2006, in St. Marys, due to natural causes. He was born Dec. 5, 1946, in Dayton, to Alvin W. and Irma Severt Rammel. His mother survives in Englewood. Also surviving is a sister, Joyce (Jim) Heuker, Englewood. He was a graduate of Chaminade High School and University of Dayton. Irene O. Robbins, 85, 11525 Eilerman Road, Lake Loramie, Minster, died at 12:30 p.m. April 12, 2006, at Wilson Hospital, Sidney. She was ill for a month. She was born Feb. 8, 1921, in W.Va., to Michael and Florence Cutlip. On Feb. 27, 1950, she married Gene N. Robbins, who died April 27, 1990. Survivors are five sons, Dale, Minster, Mike (Patty), Fort Loramie, and Randy, Minster; Lee (Naomi) Rudd, Palm Bay, Fla., and Gene Rudd, Bunnell, Fla.; a brother, Kennis Cutlip, Hanover, Pa.; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Deceased are six brothers and a sister. She was a housewife and charter member of Calvary Chapel Independent Baptist Church, Minster. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev.
