Cecelia Albers

Cecelia J. Albers, 97, of St. Henry, died at 8 p.m. May 8, 2006, at The Gardens at St. Henry.
   She was born Nov. 20, 1908, in Cranberry Prairie, to Charles and Philomena Goettemoeller Hemmelgarn. On May 2, 1933, she married Andrew Albers, who died May 6, 1966.
   Survivors are two sons, Robert (JoAnn), North Star, and Jim (Judy), Wapakoneta; four daughters, Betty (Richard) Schulze, McCartyville, Sister Ann Cecile Albers, Brooklyn, N.Y., Mary (Fred) Schmitz, Fort Recovery, and Charlene (Herb) Homan, Fort Recovery; a son-in-law, Alvin Barlage, Versailles; a brother, Ben (Alvina) Hemmelgarn, Minster; 33 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are three brothers; three sisters; two daughters, Marilyn Albers and Rita Barlage; a daughter-in-law, Barbara and four grandchildren.
   She was a homemaker and member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Sodality of the church and St. Francis Catholic Church, Cranberry Prairie. She was a member of Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and Catholic Knights of America, Cassella.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Larry Wyen officiating. Burial is at St. Francis Cemetery, Cranberry Prairie.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10:10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.


Dorothy Homan

Dorothy Jane Homan, 84, 6808 Lake Acres Drive, Celina, died at 3:20 a.m. May 8, 2006, at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
   She was born Sept. 21, 1921, to Raymond and Luzetta Browning Allen, Bellefontaine. On June 4, 1949, she married Herbert J. Homan, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Kurt, of Dublin, and Craig (Jodi), Celina; two daughters, Jaculin (Neil) Ellis, Saint Marys, and Sandra, Dublin; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a sister, Maxine Kennedy.
   She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
   Calling is 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.

Herbert Knob

Former state Route 362 resident Herbert B. Knob, 91, of Minster, died at 7:15 a.m. May 8, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. He was ill for three years.
   He was born Jan. 11, 1915, in McCartyville, to William and Mary Watercutter Knob. On June 17, 1939, he married Pauline Starr, who is deceased.
   Survivoring is a son, Richard, Venice, Fla.
   Deceased are a brother, Linus; and five sisters, Leona Schroeder, Lietta Rolfes, Rose Berning and Mathilda and Alice Knob.
   He retired from Champion Paper Company, Piqua. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie.
   Funeral Mass is 1 p.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. burial is at Sacred Heart Cemetery, McCartyville.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.

Alice Feltz

Alice J. Feltz, 73, 722 E. Kremer-Hoying Road, St. Henry, died at 11:37 p.m. May 8, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
   Arrangements pending with Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.


Mary Slone

Mary Slone, 79, a resident of St. Mary Living Center, died at 10:55 a.m. May 7, 2006, at the center.
   She was born Feb. 6, 1927, in Hollybush, Ky., to Sylvester and Clarinda Jacobs Triplett. She married Edward Slone, who is deceased.
   Survivors are a son, Jeff, Somerset, Ky.; three sisters, Mazie, Hollybush, Ky., Joy Donovan, St. Marys, and Jane Lewis, Coldwater; five brothers, Irvin Triplett, Hollybush, Jerry (Mary) Triplett, St. Marys, Sid (Jean) Triplett, Somerset, Ky., Oliver Triplett, St. Marys, and Steve (Glory) Triplett, St. Marys; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a daughter, Anna Faye Hall; a brother, Amos Triplett; and two sisters, Gracie Jacobs and Corsbia Thornsberry.
   She was a homemaker and member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.
   Services will be held at a later date at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, Somerset.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.


John Willrath

Former Mendon resident John W. Willrath, 83, died May 8, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   Arrangements are pending at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
