Earl Dedrick

Earl Dedrick, 75, 6 Oakwood Lane, South Shore Acres, St. Marys, died at 9:57 a.m. May 16, 2006, at his residence, following an extended illness.
   He was born Jan 1, 1931, in Dayton, to Robert and Eva Mae White Dedrick. On Dec. 24, 1948, he married Mary Joan Reigelsperger, who survives.
   Also surviving are three sons, William (Francis), Waterville, Thomas, Fort Pierce, Fla., and Dennis (Shelly), St. Marys; a daughter, Pat (Ron) Gabbard, Fort Pierce; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Deceased is a grandson.
   He retired from the City of Dayton Water Treatment Facility, where he was an operator. He coached basketball and baseball and served as a baseball umpire for Dayton Little League. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, and a cub scout leader.
   Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Dayton.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.


Marie Ketcham

Marie L. Ketcham, 98, 317 N. West St., St. Marys, died at 4:10 a.m. May 17, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   Arrangements are pending at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.


Jeffrey Mescher

Jeffrey A. Mescher, 44, 600 Smith St., Ansonia, died May 12, 2006, at his residence. Death was due to natural causes.
   He was born Jan. 13, 1962, in Piqua, to Richard and Carolyn Monnin Mescher, who survive in Rossburg.
   Also surviving are five brothers, Chris (Jane), Bradford, Mike (Cindy), Ansonia, Randy (Nancy), Goose Creek, S.C., Eric, North Star, and Brad (Amy), Branchburg, N.J.; and a sister, Kelly (Tom) Smith, Yorkshire.
   He was a traveling building products technician at Classic Products Incorporated, Piqua. He had been there 24 years. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, and an associate member of its Holy Name Society. He was a 1980 graduate of Ansonia High School, member of Stillwater Valley Golf Course and a former member of the Ansonia Jaycees.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery.
   Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Thomas Whited

Thomas H. Whited, 63, 921 Fairground Road, Celina, died May 16, 2006, at his residence.
   Services are pending at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
