Mildred Hines

Mildred M. "Midge" Hines, 82, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:05 a.m. May 22, 2006, at Wapakoneta Manor.
   She was born March 3, 1924, in Celina, to Theodore & Mary Donavon Leiberick. On Jan. 7, 1944, she married Herbert L. Hines, who survives.
   Also surviving are a daughter, Marta (Donald) Schwietzer, Wapakoneta; a sister, Ruth Strohl, Celina; a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
   She retired after 33 years of service in 1983 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, and a 1942 graduate of Blume High School. She was a member and past president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8445 Auxiliary, Wapakoneta, and a past president of the VFW District 2, Auxiliary.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, the Rev. G. Richard Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where a VFW Auxiliary & District memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
   Contributions can be made to the church, the Auglaize County Cancer Association, or the Tri-County Visiting Nurses and Hospice.


Helen Meier

Helen E. Meier, 89, 620 Cron St., Celina, died at 8:30 p.m. May 20, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born Dec. 21, 1916, in Dayton, to Jacob and Elizabeth Lenol Mancz. On April 19, 1941, she married Clifford L. Fuller Jr., who died Jan. 23, 1991. On April 4, 1992, she married Robert Meier, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Roy (Joyce) Fuller, Angola, Ind., and Jake (Leslie) Fuller, Corona, Ill.; a daughter, Joyce Hackney, Celina; eight grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
   Deceased are two brothers, Matthew and Jake Mancz; and two sisters, Eva Nickels and Elizabeth Hissong.
   She was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, Celina. She was a member of the Auxiliaries of VFW Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, all of Celina.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
   Calling is 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
   Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice.


Ronald Schulte

Former Celina resident Ronald Mathew Schulte, 32, of Tipp City, died the morning of May 21, 2006. He was dead on arrival at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, from injuries received in an automobile accident in Tipp City.
   He was born April 16, 1974, in St. Marys, to Edward and Waneta (Michaels) Schulte. They survive in Celina. He was engaged to be married July 1, 2006, to Anette M. Scott, who survives in Tipp City.
   Also surviving are three brothers, David (Melody), Prosser, Wash., Gary, Lima, and Dan, Celina; and two sisters, Susan Jaquess, Indianapolis, Ind., and Donna (Herb) Wright, Howell, Mich.
   Deceased are a brother, Michael, in 1979; and a sister, Diane, in 1973.
   He was employed as an allied specialist at Crown Equipment, Vandalia. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard for nine years. He was a 1992 graduate of Celina High School and received an associate's degree in computer aided drafting from ITT Technical Institute, Dayton. He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina.
   Services are 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial is at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina. Graveside military rites will be conducted by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, both of Celina.
   Calling is 3-8 p.m. Thursday and 12-12:45 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina.
   Contributions can be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Students Against Drunk Driving.
