David Slusser David A. Slusser, 86, 9135 state Route 197, Celina, died at 9:10 p.m. June 5, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home. He was born May 19, 1920, in Columbus Grove, to Joseph Allen and Mary Foulkes Slusser. On April 15, 1949, he married Ruth W. Steiner, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dan (Lutrena), Celina, and Jeff, San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Linda (Rick) Carter, Celina; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Robert ; a brother, Richard; a sister, Kathryn Risser; and a grandson. He was employed as a foreman at New Idea, Coldwater; worked at Stamco, New Bremen; a parts manager at the former Jackson's Garage, Coldwater; and as a parts manager at White Trucking, Lima. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theater. He attended Neptune Church of God. Services are 3 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Tim Clutter officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Calling is 1-3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
