Dock, Tipp City; four sons, Daniel (Marsha), Naperville, Ill., Steven, Tipp City, Richard (Sandra), Southbury, Conn., and David (Becky), Toledo, Ore.; a daughter, Karen (Barry) Anderson, Newport, Ore.; a brother, Leroy (Clarissa) Finfrock, address unknown, a sister, Dorothy Berger, address unknown, 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Deceased is a sister, Mary, and her mother, Emily Finfrock. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City, and a 1944 graduate of Versailles High School. Ruth Long, 67, 1404 E. Livingston St., Celina, died June 14, 2006, at her home. She was born June 8, 1939, in St. Marys, to Gerald and Viola Topp Sanders. On October 30, 1960, she married Donald Long, who died September 3, 1999. Survivors are three sons, Elmer (Jodia), Celina, Gary (Anna), Norfolk, Va., and Leslie (Carolyn), Versailles; two daughters, Renate (LeRoy) Delzeith and Sherrie (Robert) Hand, all of Celina; four brothers, Ralph (Nadine) Sanders of Wabash, Norbert (Michelle) Sanders, Norfolk, Va., Paul Sanders, Celina, and Fred (Helen) Sanders, Bryan; three sisters, Mary Miller, Mendon, and Dorothy Meeker and Delores (Ralph) Hussey, all of St. Marys; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter Christina Long; a brother, Carl Sanders; two brothers-in-law, Willy Meeker and George Miller; and a sister-in-law, Bess Sanders. She graduated from Memorial High School, St. Marys, and was the cook at the Mercer Truck Stop. She attended Victory Chapel Church, Celina. Frederick R. Post, 51, 1632 E. 300 S., Portland, Ind., died June 16, 2006, at his residence in a morning house fire. He was born Oct. 7, 1954, in Coldwater to Norma Hilgeford and Hugo Post. His mother survives in St. Henry. Also surviving are three brothers, Carl, New Weston, Henry, Greenville, and James B. (Angela), Celina; three sisters, Rita (Alan J.) Hemmelgarn, Burkettsville, Louise (Don) Buzard, Virginia Beach, Va., and Bonnie (Greg) Atkinson, Wapakoneta; and several nieces and nephews. He was employed by 3W, Fort Recovery, and was a 1972 graduate of Mississinawa High School, Union City. John S. Tharp Jr., 78, 310 Jill Ave., Celina, died at 5:45 a.m. June 16, 2006, at Celina Manor. He was born May 6, 1928, in Darke County to John S. Sr. and Merl Onda Fernsler Tharp. On March 8, 1947, he was married Betty Dininger, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James (Pam), Roswell, N.M., and Khristopher, Mendon; two daughters, Cindy, Coldwater, and Sharon (David) Weitz, Celina, a sister, Marjorie Townsend, Greenville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Raymond and W.H.; and a sister, Pauline Good. He was retired from Dayton Power and Light Coldwater service department. He was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Greenville. He was a past Scout master in Greenville and past master of the Masonic Lodge #241, Celina. He graduate from Palestine High School in 1946. Holly A. Zimmerman-Warren, 40, 4A Defiance Commons Drive, Wapakoneta, died at 7:25 p.m. June 15, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 4, 1965, in St. Marys to Cloyd and Diane Bayman Zimmerman, who both survive in Bakersfield, Calif. Also surviving is her ex-husband, Doug, address unknown; two daughters, Jessica (Willis) Root and Whitney, both of Wapakoneta; two brothers, Chriss Zimmerman, West Covina, Calif., and Alan Zimmerman, Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Lori (Gary) Gutierrez, Bakersfield, Calif., and Heather Zimmerman, Columbus; and two grandchildren. She worked as a caregiver to the elderly. She was a member of the Shekinah Temple, St. Marys, and was a 1984 graduate of Blair High School, Pasadena, Calif. Willis E. Wiehe, 84, 11307 Bobwhite Lane, St. Marys, and formerly of New Bremen, died 11:20 a.m. June 16, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He was born Feb. 15, 1922, in St. Marys Township to Arthur and Luetta Beickman Wiehe. On Oct. 5, 1943, he married June Smith, who survives near St. Marys. Deceased is a brother, Donald. He was a lifetime farmer and carpenter and worked at Peterson Construction Co., Wapakoneta, until 1984. He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, and a former member of the New Bremen Senior Citizens. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial is in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
