William Baker Williams "Buck" Baker, 76, 5312 state Route 127, Celina, died at 7:02 p.m. June 20, 2006, at Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima. He was born Oct. 18, 1929, in Celina, to Bill and Florence Hume Byerley. On Nov. 27, 1954, he married Shirley A. Myers, who survives at home. Surviving are, a son, Rick, Columbus; a brother, Dewaine (Shirley) Byerley, St. Marys; and a granddaughter, Lauren. Deceased is a brother, Roy. He was formerly employed at Mersman Furniture and was a truck driver for Moeller Trucking, Maria Stein. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954 and was a member of American Legion Post 210, Celina. Other clubs included, the Mercer County Sportsman Association and the N.R.A. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, with the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #210 and Veterans of Foreign War Post #5713, both of Celina.
