James Aller

James F. Aller, 76, 923 Hemlock St., Celina, died at 11:35 p.m. July 18, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
   He was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Celina, to William E. and Hazel Stemen Aller. On Dec. 14, 1950, he married Claris Cole, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Larry (Sally), Lawton, Okla., and Jerry, Celina; a daughter, Beverly (William) Darnell, Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Jean Smalley, Celina; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
   He retired as a truck driver for Copeland Corp., Sidney, and was a 1947 graduate of Celina High School. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473, both of Celina; and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, Coldwater.
   Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Jeff Smalley officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the church or St. Rita's Medical Center.


Richard Fanning

Richard Fanning, 81, of Loudonville, died at 9:37 p.m. July 18, 2006, at Methodist Hospital, Peoria, Ill.
   Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating.
   Calling is after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
   Arrangements are pending at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.


Donald Thitoff

Donald L."Pug" Thitoff, 86, of Celina, died at 3 a.m. July 19, 2006, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
   He was born Aug. 14, 1920, to Jacob and Emma Johns Thitoff. In 1939, he married Margarite Nash, who survives.
   Also surviving are six sons, Robert (Jane) and Dave, all of Delphos, Daniel and Steve (Lisa), all of Columbus, Chuck (Paula), Mountain Home, Ark. and Tim, Celina; a daughter, Becky (Keith) Edwards, Grove Hill; a sister, Agnes Stewart, Delphos; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are four brothers, Sylvester, Vincent, Peter and Richard; a sister, Rita Miller; and a great-grandchild.
   He was retired from Huffy Bicycle Co., Celina, and was a volunteer firefighter, Delphos. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma.
   Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos. Burial is at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Delphos, where military graveside rites will be performed by Delphos Veterans' Council. A parish wake is Friday at a time to be determined.
   Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
