Richard Fanning Richard Fanning, 81, of Loudonville, died at 9:37 p.m. July 18, 2006, at Methodist Hospital, Peoria, Ill. He was born May 24, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., to Ralph and Leone A. Heath Fanning. His first wife, Nancy Hudson, is deceased. He married Ruth Arold, who survives in West Lake. Also surviving are two sons, Craig (Geri), Wildwood, Mo., and R. Scott (Linda), Lisle, Ill.; two daughters, Gay (Dennis) Knapp, Congerville, Ill., and Laura, Cleveland; a brother, Ronald (Jenine), Celina; two sisters, Elaine Ellis, Carmel, Ind., and Patricia (Roy) Dickinson, Waterdown, Ontario; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother-in-law, Charles Ellis; and two grandchildren. He was the publishing editor for Penton/Industrial Publishing Co., Cleveland. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Radio Relay League and the Great Book Society. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Celina, the Rev. Robert Metheny officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, with military honors provided by Veterans of Foreign War Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, both of Celina. Cletus J. Griesdorn, 78, 7475 state Route 119, Maria Stein, died July 20, 2006, at his residence. He was born Oct. 23, 1927, in St. Rose, to Julius and Philomena Fiely Griesdorn. On April 14, 1951, he married Marguerite Bettinger, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jeff (Rita), St. Rose, and Craig (Diane), New Bremen; three daughters, Treva (Herb) Fortkamp, St. Rose, Mary Ann (Clete) Grieshop, Minster, and Nancy (Jerry) Wenzke, Oakwood; two brothers, Luke, St. Sebastian, and Mark (Margie), Cassella; a sister, Thelma Barber, St. Henry; a sister-in-law, Mildred, Coldwater; and seven grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Ralph; two brothers-in-law, Harry Barber and William Gross; and a sister-in-law, Katherine. He worked a combined 46 years for Streacker Implement and Metzger Brothers, Minster. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, its men's Holy Name Society and the cemetery board. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2347, Versailles, and Knights of Columbus Council 1991, Coldwater. He coached St. Rose Little League baseball for more than 20 years. Clarence "Ed" Henegar, 60, of St. Marys, died at 8:02 a.m. July 19, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. Cause of death was due to natural causes. He was born June 9, 1946, in Lake City, Tenn., to Vernon and Laura Smith Henegar. Survivors are a daughter, Tammy R. Tangeman, Montezuma; a brother, James, of Wisconsin; six sisters, Deel Taylor, Caryville, Tenn., Thelma Sellers, of South Carolina, Dorthy (Charles) Dotson, St. Marys, Margie (Tommy) Massengill, Lake Village, Ind., Nancy (Kenneth) Smith, Lake City, Tenn., and Sandra Hardesty, Wapakoneta; and two grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, Lloyd and Charles; and a sister, Hazel Barnes. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Robert L. Miller, 92, 8041Ú2 E. Vine St., Coldwater, died at 12:40 p.m. July 20, 2006, at Briarwood Manor, Coldwater. He was born Oct. 26, 1914, in Lima, to Lawrence and Lillie Buchanan Miller. On May 27, 1945, he married L. Jane Gilbert, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Glen (Diana), Wapakoneta; a daughter, Jackie (Gary Ted) Knapke, Coldwater; a half brother, John Kantner, Wapakoneta; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Deceased is a grandchild. He was a retired salesman and a 1932 graduate of the former Blume High School, Wapakoneta. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Bailey-Schockman Post 5135, Coldwater. Denver E. Newbauer, 60, of St. Marys, died at 9:20 p.m. July 19, 2006, at St. Marys Living Center, St. Marys, of natural causes. He was born Aug. 4, 1945, in New Madison, to William and Mary Ellen Decamp Newbauer. Survivors are a son, Chris, Celina; a daughter, Jennifer Maurer, Coldwater; a brother, Bill, Dayton; three sisters, Mary Alice (Larry) Weaver, of Ariz.; Dorthy Ann (Lolee) Thacher, Decatur, Ind.; and Marilyn (Jerry) Hofacker, St. Marys; and three grandchildren. Eugene B. "Wally" Pleiman, 67, of Versailles, died at 9:30 a.m. July 20, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 26, 1938, in Yorkshire, to Henry B. and Marie Heckman Pleiman. His stepmother, Matilda Holscher Pleiman also is deceased. On Sept. 9, 1967, he married Irene L. Wappelhorst, who died Jan. 7, 1986. On June 17, 1995, he married Vera Paulus, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Lisa (John) Quinter and Theresa (Ed) Minnich, both of Versailles; a stepson, Kris (Crystal) Clingenpeel, Grand Forks, N.D.; a stepdaughter, Teri (Doug) Etter, Versailles; six brothers, Carl (Rita), Cyril (Lisa), Larry (Linda), Neal (Mary Jean), Ralph (Ruth) and Victor (Peg); five sisters, Joan (Joe) Maier, Monica (Ron) Manger, Mary Lou Overton, Lucy (Tony) Budde, and Thelma (Joe) Green; a granddaughter and four stepgrandchildren. He retired from employment with the village of Versailles and 23 years on the Versailles Fire Department. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2347 and American Legion Post 435, all of Versailles; and AMVETS Post 66, Covington. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial is at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
