Delphina Elizabeth Quinter, 87, of St. Henry, died at 6:15 a.m. July 26, 2006, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. She was born Oct. 30, 1918, in Carthagena, to John and Bernadine Wuebker Stelzer. On April 15, 1941, she married Irenus Quinter, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dan (Marlene), Duluth, Ga., and Bill (Mary Jo), Coldwater; three daughters, Judy (Paul) Jansen and Diane (Lowell) Franck, all of St. Henry, and Sharon (Mike) Roessner, Fort Recovery; three brothers, Norbert (Adele) Stelzer and John (Ruth) Stelzer, all of St. Henry, and Werner Stelzer, Celina; three sisters, Lidwina Bergman, St. Henry, Butch Geise, Coldwater, and Imelda (Barney) Puthoff, Chickasaw; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, James; four brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and its ladies rosary altar sodality, Philothea. She was a member of St. Cecelia Knights of St. John and charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Bailey-Schockman Post 5135 Auxiliary, both of Coldwater. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Celina native Linda R. Schelich, 61, of Beaverton, Mich., died July 21, 2006, at Brittany Manor, Midland, Mich. Death followed a long illness. She was born Sept. 13, 1944, in Celina, to Robert and Florence Weisman Adams. On Aug. 20, 1966, she married Tom Schelich, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Matthew (Tina), Kingsley, Mich.; three brothers, Donald (Rita) and David (Pat) Adams, all of Celina; Allan (Janet) Adams, Coldwater; and a sister, Elaine (John) McGriff, Somerset, Ky. Deceased is a daughter, Anne Marie. For 25 years she was an organist at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Gladwin County, Mich. She graduated with a bachelors degree in 1967 from Capital University, Columbus, and as an occupational therapist in 1998 from Saginaw Valley State University. She worked for A&D Health Care, Saginaw, and Saginaw Tender Loving Care, as a home care therapist. Services are 10 a.m Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Beaverton, the Rev. Paul Metzger officiating. Burial is at Edenville Township Cemetery, Mich. Calling is after 9 a.m. Monday at the church. Alvin C. "Jake" Severt, 81, of Burkettsville-St. Henry Road, Coldwater, died July 25, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born May 9, 1925, in Carthagena, to Fred and Josephine Uhlenhake Severt. On Nov. 27, 1952, he married Mary Ann Gross, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Joseph (Peggy) and Fred, all of Coldwater, Charles (Ann), Buford, Ga., and David (Gail), Wakefield, Mass; three daughters, Diane (Jerry) Prenger, Coldwater, Peggy (Tom) Berning, Tipp City, and Shirley (Dan) Siefring, St. Henry; two brothers, Art and Ralph, both of Coldwater; two sisters, Mary Ann Seitz and Mildred Griesdorn, both of Coldwater; a brother-in-law, Robert Fleck, Chickasaw; two sisters-in-law, Josie Severt, Rockford, and Anna Severt, Coldwater; and 18 grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Victor, Wilfred and Ed; a sister, Esther Fleck; two brothers-in-law, Dan Seitz and Ralph Griesdorn; a sister-in-law, Esther Severt; and a grandchild. He was a retired co-owner and operator of Coldwater Grain Co. and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, its men's Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus Council 1991 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5135, all of Coldwater.
