Ermal Lutterbeck, 69, 705 Beech St., St. Marys, died at 8 p.m. Aug. 13, 2006, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born June 11, 1937, in St. Marys, to Vernon and Marguerite Sprague Lutterbeck, who are deceased. On Jan. 20, 1956, he married Phyllis Botkin, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Tim, Celina, and Alan (Bonnie), St. Marys; two sisters, Mooneen (Ernest) Wurster, St. Marys, and Gwendolyn Dankirk, Lima; two grandchildren; a stepgrandson; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He retired after 37 years at Superior Tube Co. and had worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. He served in the Ohio National Guard for four years. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to the ALS fund, American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Association of Ohio. David Schulze
David A. Schulze, 28, of South Main St., Minster, died at 5:49 p.m. Aug. 14, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys, after an automobile accident. Arrangements are pending at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie. Dalton Smith
Dalton D. Smith, 85, 1307 Queensbury Drive, Celina, died at 11:48 a.m. Aug. 14, 2006, at his residence. He was born June 10, 1921, in Celina, to Ralph and Cora Rutledge Smith. On Jan. 8, 1946, he married Margaret L. Walker, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Michael, Douglas (Karla) and Randy (Gail), all of Celina; four daughters, Linda Butcher, Susan (James) Shindeldecker and Jill (Scott) Beougher, all of Celina, and Kathy (Gary) Zerkle, Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Ralph (Betty), St. Marys, and Joe (Norma), Wisconsin; a sister, Marjorie (Merrill) Brookhart, Celina; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son-in-law, Charles Butcher; and two brothers, Hubert and Paul. He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 32 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a Fort Recovery High School graduate and a member of American Legion Post 210, Celina. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Military honors are by American Legion Post 210 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 5713, both of Celina.
