Robert Lochtefeld Sr. Robert "Butch" Lochtefeld Sr., 82, 108 Morton St., Celina, died at 3:20 a.m. Aug. 15, 2006, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. He was born Aug. 15, 1924, in St. Rose, to August and Floratine Garman Lochtefeld. He married Dorothy Pfeffenberger, who died Feb. 22, 1990. On Sept. 5, 1992, he married Dottie Benner, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert Jr. (Rose Ann), Celina; two daughters, Janis (Lannie) Tindall and Sharon (Burl) Poor, all of Celina; two stepsons, John (Ann) and David Benner, all of Lewisburg; three stepdaughters, Alicia (Doug) Newbauer, Snellville, Ga., Kathy Dafler, Brookville, and Debbie (Herb) Sodders, Prairieville; a brother, Leroy (Carol), Sidney; a sister, Martha (Fred) Kirk, The Villages, Fla.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren and 13 step great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother Cyril and two sisters, Edna Camp and Alfreda Decker. He retired from the former Pet Milk Co., Coldwater. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Celina; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3025, Coldwater; Mercer County Sportsman; and Super Senior Center, Trotwood. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. Harry L. Phlipot, 58, of Russia, died at 6:05 a.m. Aug. 15, 2006, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born May 26, 1948, in Piqua, to Vern L. and Norma C. Bair Phlipot. His mother survives in Russia. On Aug. 17, 1972, he married Barbara A. Timmerman, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Scott (Rachel) and Kevin (Juliana), all of Russia; a daughter Sherri (David II) Clark, Piqua; two brothers, Robert (Deborah), Russia, and Delbert (Kathy) McCarter, Lawrence, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Thomas (Jill) Demmitt, Fletcher; father and mother-in-law, Wilfred and Emily Jean Timmerman, Fort Loramie; and two grandchildren. Deceased are two sisters, Jeanette Demmitt and infant Mary; and mother-in-law, Rita Timmerman. He was a farmer and drove a bus for Russia Local School. He had been employed at Minster Farmers Co-op, Larger Brothers Milk Transport and M.R. Phlipot Masonry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War and was a 1967 graduate of Russia Local School. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church and a past president of its parish council. He was a member of St. Remy Catholic War Veterans Post 661, American Legion Post 217, Sidney, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 48 and was a Shelby County Veterans Services Officer. He was a past president of Shelby County Veterans Organization and Loramie Township Zoning Board. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Frank Amberger officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, Russia. Full military honors will be presented by St. Remy Catholic War veterans and Sidney American Legion. David Alan Schulze, 28, of South Main Street, Minster, died at 5:49 p.m. Aug. 14, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital emergency room, St. Marys, after an automobile accident. He was born Oct. 10, 1977, in Coldwater, to Fred A. and Karen J. Bertke Schulze, who both survive in Minster. On Nov. 3, 2001, he married Brenda L. Albers, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Cory and Chad, at home; grandmother, Ellen Bertke, Maria Stein; a brother, Carl (Kathleen), Coldwater; and father and mother-in-law, Roger and Marilyn Albers, Fort Loramie. He was employed at Bernard Masonry Contractors, Maria Stein. He was a 1996 graduate of Marion Local High School. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and Willie's Softball Team, Minster. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Former New Bremen resident, Sandra Kay Stickan, 60, of Bryan, died at 2:32 p.m. Aug. 15, 2006, at her residence. She was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Sidney, to Jacob W. and Dottie S. Schmidt Boesel. On June 1, 2004, she married Steven L. Stickan, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Douglas (Vicie) Bitler, Springfield; a daughter, Debra (Jeff) Lehman, Bryan; a sister, Constance Frericks, Minneapolis, Minn.; and five grandchildren. After 25 years she retired as a media aide for Montpelier High School. She instituted a drug and alcohol program in the school system and remained the facilitator. She was a member of Zion Methodist Church, Butler, Ind., and was a 1964 New Bremen High School graduate. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home, Montpelier, the Rev. Saneta Mhache officiating. Burial is at Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton. Calling is 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
