Helen Colvin

Helen L. Colvin, St. Marys, died late in the evening of Sept. 5, 2006, at Valley Nursing Home & Rehab Center, St. Marys.
   Arrangements are pending at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home High Street Chapel, St. Marys.


Mary Darnell-Schneider

Mary Ellen Darnell-Schneider, 73, 1245 Knoxville Ave., St. Marys, died at 8:10 p.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at her residence.
   She was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Celina, to Dee and Marie Felver Now. On Aug. 2, 1986, she married David Schneider, who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, Ray Darnell, Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Denise Darnell, St. Marys, and Rochelle (Robert) Darnell-Kinahan, Arvada, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Kris (Earl) Norcross, Dublin; a sister, Anita (Boyd) Granger, Celina; a sister-in-law, Margie Now, Klamath Falls, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
   Deceased are two brothers, Ed and Dean Now.
   She was retired from St. Marys City Schools, where she had served as the secretary to high school principal. She was a 1951 Celina High School graduate and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Ohio Child Conservation League, both of St. Marys.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
   Calling is 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Marjorie Klingshirn

Marjorie A. "Marge" Klingshirn, 70, 604 N. Woodview Drive, Coldwater, died at 11:27 p.m. Sept. 4, 2006, at University Medical Center of Ohio, Toledo.
   She was born March 2, 1936, in Coldwater, to Orlando and Leona Buschur Beckman. On June 22, 1957, she married Robert Klingshirn, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Mike (Donna), of Troy, and Kevin (Lorraine), Coldwater; a daughter, Connie (Dale) Boeckman, Coldwater; two brothers, Robert (Carol) Beckman, Coldwater, and Neal Beckman, Celina; a sister, Mary Jane (Larry) Meier, Maria Stein; a sister-in-law, Marge Beckman, Celina; and four grandchildren.
   Deceased is a brother, Kenneth Beckman and a sister, Connie Sue Beckman.
   She was retired from the former Huffy Bicycle Co., Celina. She was a 1954 graduate of Coldwater High School and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its St. Ann's Altar Sodality, Coldwater.
   Funeral Mass is 11 a.m Friday at the church the Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
   Calling is 9-10:15 a.m. Friday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.


Paul May Jr.

Paul May Jr., 56, 300 Bruns Ave., Celina, died at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 2, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Death was due to a massive stroke.
   He was born Feb. 10, 1950, in Celina, to Paul P. and Bernice V. Forwerck May Sr, who are both deceased.
   Survivors are two sons, Paul (Tara) May III, Rockford, and Christopher, Medina; a brother, Thomas O. (Pam), Celina; three sisters, Paula (Butch) Michael, Rockford, Karen (Loel), Handley, Greer, S.C., and Suzanne (Stan), Gurley, Holiday, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
   Deceased is a brother, Jerry Tumey.
   He was a tank inspector at General Dynamics, Lima, and formerly worked at Huffy Bicycle Co., Celina; New Idea, Coldwater; and as a truck driver for Shenandoah Trucking, Fort Recovery. He was a 1968 graduate of Parkway School.
   He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Germany. He was a member of American Legion Post 210, Celina; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772, Spencerville; and Loyal Order of Eagles Lodge 1291, Celina.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Dean Bruce officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Alice Shinn

Alice S. Shinn, 88, 637 W. Fulton St., Celina, died early morning today Sept. 6, 2006, at Miller House, Celina.
   She was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Celina, to Charles and Laura Bollenbacher Alt. She married Vernon Shinn, who died Feb. 28, 1994.
   Survivors are three sons, Larry (Terry), Robert (Terri) and Dennis Ben (Carolyn), all of Celina; a daughter, Mary Lou (Jim) Walter, Celina; a sister, Virginia Rolfes, Celina; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are four brothers, Jack, Dewey, Robert and Arthur; and two sisters, Esther and Wilma.
   She retired from Celina Group and was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Celina.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Art Wilde officiating.
   Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.


Kathleen Wangler

Kathleen S. Wangler, 48, of Lima, died at 5:54 a.m. Sept. 4, 2006, at Lima Memorial Hospital. Cause of death is under investigation.
   She was born May 12, 1958, in Coldwater, to Elmer J. and Sara McGill Schlarman, who survive in Celina. On May 6, 1977, she married Mark A. Wangler, who survives.
   Also surviving are two sons, Nathan D. and Aaron M., both at University of Cincinnati; three brothers, Richard Schlarman, Celina, Donald (Yvette) Schlarman, Hilliard, and Joseph (Melissa) Schlarman, Dublin; and two sisters, Joan (Joel) Zacharias and Diana (Shannon) Boedecker, all of Celina.
   She was a middle and high school teacher in local school systems, including Bath and Perry, a member of Grace Baptist Church, Lima, and was a Gideon. She was a 1976 graduate of Celina High School and was graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors of science degree.
   Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the church the Rev. Matthew Oliver officiating. Burial is at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Celina.
   Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel, Lima.
