Deloris Imel

Deloris Imel, 88, 216 Redbud Ave., Celina, died Sept. 7, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born April 13, 1918, in Mercer County, to William and Corinda Burch Bauer. She married Albert Dale Imel, who died Sept. 16, 1998.
   Survivors are three sons, Victor (Ann), Gilbert, Ariz., Ivan (Ann), Shallowater, Texas, and Dan (Cindy), Fairport, N.Y.; a daughter, Darlene (John) Black, Celina; two sisters, Savella Bradford, Paramont, Calif., and Dorothy Schroeder, Celina; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild and a stepgreat-great-grandchild.
   Deceased are a son, Harold; two brothers, Morris and Don Bauer; a half sister, Anna Brumbaugh and a grandchild.
   She was a homemaker and active in the Red Cross. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1473 and American Legion Post 210, all of Celina.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Arthur Wilde officiating. Burial is at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
   Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


Anna Tisdale

St. Peter native Anna Matilda "Tillie" Tisdale, 85, of Sacramento, Calif., died at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 5, 2006, at Kaiser Hospital, Sacramento.
   She was born Sept. 30, 1920, in St. Peter, to Chris and Agnes Gaerke Knoth. Her husband of 43 years, Vernon Tisdale, survives in Sacramento.
   Also surviving are a son, Michael (Anne), Sacramento; two sisters, Anna Marie Steinbrunner, St. Joe, and Christine Bernard, Venice, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Mildred Kanoth, Coldwater; and two granddaughters.
   Deceased are three brothers, John, Ed and Henry Knoth; and two sisters, Loretta Braun and Alvina Laux.
   She was employed by Sutter Hospitals as a nurse supervisor for 24 years, and retired in Dec. 1984. She previously worked for Dr. Benning, Fort Recovery, and was a surgery nurse at the former Gibbons Hospital, Celina. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a lieutenant in the Korean War and World War II. She attended school at St. Peter and Fort Recovery and was a member of the Arden Park Garden Club, Sacramento.
   Funeral Mass is 9 a.m. today at St. Stephen The First Martyr Catholic Church, Sacramento. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Sacramento.
   Calling was Sept. 8 with the rosary following at Lombard & Company Funeral Directors, Sacramento. A flag is being flown in her memory at the West Ohio Healing Field this weekend.
