Derrell Franklin Derrell "Ted" Franklin, 96, of Fort Recovery, died at 6 p.m. Sept. 11, 2006, at The Gardens at St. Henry. He was born Aug. 12, 1910, in Jay County, Ind., to George and Mollie Warnock Franklin. On Dec. 25, 1941, he married Nellie Roop Franklin, who survives in St. Henry. Survivors are several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Perry, Floyd and Francis; and a sister, Beatrice Stoner. He formerly owned and operated Fort Recovery Monuments and served as manager of Springhill & Greenmound Cemeteries, all of Fort Recovery. He was formerly a member of Fort Recovery Village Council. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He was a 60-year member, past secretary and past Master of Free & Accepted Masons Lodge 539; member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 111; member of American Legion Post 345; and board member of Fort Recovery United Methodist Church, all of Fort Recovery. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, Dayton. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Revs. Robert Dungan and Kenneth Galdeen officiating. Masonic services are 7:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial is at Springhill Cemetery, Fort Recovery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the American Legion. Calling is 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Everett F. Jump, 88, 1017 Edward St., St. Marys, died at 11:43 a.m. Sept. 12, 2006, at Wapakoneta Manor. He was born June 11, 1918, in Mexico, Ohio, to Wilson and Estella Jump. On Oct. 8, 1941, he married Margueritte Yeager, who died Feb. 21, 2001. Survivors are fiance, Caroline Horn, Winchester, Ind.; two sons, Jim (Leesa), Naperville, Ill., and David (Eileen), Columbus; two daughters, Linda (Larry) Wahrer, Jackson Center, and Jenny (Bill) Grubey, Muncie, Ind.; a sister, Lois (Gus) Rowe, Baldwinsville, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Deceased are seven brothers, Laurel, Virgil, Dale, Paul, Harold, Ray and Edward; and a sister, Helen. He retired from Beatrice Foods Corp., where he was plant superintendent in New Bremen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of Forrest High School and attended Penn State University. He was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys; and Free & Accepted Masons Mercer Lodge 121. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Mary Kay Brown officiating. Coldwater native Karen Ann Kremer, 46, Anne Grady Center, Holland, Ohio, died Sept. 11, 2006, at the center. Death was due to natural causes. She was born Sept. 20, 1959, in Coldwater, to Ivo and Helen Heckler Kremer. Survivors are a brother, Keith (Natalie), Benton, Mich.; and three sisters, Nancy Adams, Columbus, Linda (Dennis) Howard, Dayton, and Sue (Lee) Muhlenkamp, Coldwater. Alice A. Tobin, 78, 31 S. Canal St., Montezuma, died Sept. 11, 2006, at her residence. She was born April 1, 1928, in Montezuma, to Loren and Margaret Burd Cencebaugh. On Dec. 5, 1946, she married John "Jack" Tobin, who survives. Also surviving are a son Mark (Chris), Montezuma; two daughters: Penny (Lowell) Kissinger, Bradford, and Diane (Bob Huffman) Whitehead, Montezuma; a sister, Pam Sites, Rockford; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Deceased is a brother, Bud Cencebaugh. She was the head cook at Franklin School for 29 years. She attended Montezuma United Methodist Church and was a member of its Women's Society of Christian Service. She also was a member of the Ya Ya Sisterhood in Montezuma. Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mercer Memory Gardens, the Rev. Bruce Crane, officiating. Following services a Celebration of Life will be held at the church.
