Carl Henderson

Carl Henderson, 88, 311 North Wayne St., St. Marys, died at 8:40 p.m. Sept. 13, 2006, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
   He was born April 7, 1918, in Shade, to George and Alma Story Henderson. On Aug. 19, 1939, he married Jane Rider, who survives.
   Also surviving are a son, George (Jean), St. Marys; two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
   Deceased are a daughter, Linda; four brothers, Harry, Frank, Story and Charles; and three sisters, Sarah, Pauline and Carol.
   He was a retired insurance agent with Prudential Insurance Company, St. Marys, and later worked at Katterheinrich Chevrolet and Brookside Labs, both in New Knoxville. He was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church, St. Marys, the Free & Accepted Masons Mercer Lodge 121 and the St. Marys Outing Club at Idlewild.
   Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
   Calling is 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   Contributions can be made to the March of Dimes or the American Heart Fund.


Carl Meinerding

Carl H. "Buckwheat" Meinerding, 50, of Versailles, died at 12;50 p.m. Sept. 13, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
   Arrangements are pending at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.


Mildred Staugler

Mildred L. Staugler, 81, formerly of North Cherry Street, Celina, died at 2:50 a.m. Sept. 14, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
   She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Amonate, Va., to Arthur and Mable Buchanan Brinegar. On June 24, 1950, she married Leo Staugler, who died Oct. 10, 1993.
   Survivors are a son, James (Kim), Celina; two daughters, Mary Dirksen, Celina, and Pat Bruggeman, Carson, Calif.; a sister, Sue Becnel, Carriere, Miss.; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
   Deceased are a son, Mark, and a brother, Curtis Brinegar.
   She was a high school teacher in Virginia and retired from teaching in 1950 from Dayton Public Schools. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Knights of St. John, and the alter rosary sodality at IC and St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena.
   Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Celina church, the Rev. Thomas Brenberger officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
   There are no calling hours.
   Contributions can be made to the Celina church.
   Arrangements are being handled by Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
