Ethel McDorman Jamieson Ethel V. McDorman Jamieson, 89, of Rockford, died at 7:08 a.m. Sept. 19, 2006, at VanCrest Health Care Center, Van Wert. she was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Van Wert County, to John and Cecile Denny McDorman. On Dec. 5, 1936, she married Paul E. Jamieson, who died March 19, 1974. Survivors are two sons, Robert E. (Sue), Salina, Kan., and Roger L. (Carolyn), Van Wert; a brother, Roy (Barb) McDorman, Mendon; a sister, Ione Byer, Glenmore; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Deceased are two brothers, Earl and Dale McDorman; two sisters, Helen Shook and Clarissa McDorman and two grandsons. She was a member of Olive Branch Church of God, Rockford, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Steven G. Waterman officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, Union Twp. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Mendon native Lyle Kermitt Barber, 85, died at 4:15 a.m. Sept. 14, 2006, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home. He was born April 17, 1921, in Mendon, to Robert and Bertha Banter Barber. On Aug. 20, 1954, he married Ruth Ann Parmenter, who survives in Lima. Also surviving are two daughters, Lana (David R. ) Gerber, Cincinnati, and Kay (Paul) Monus, Frederick, Md.; two sisters, Aldyth (Darber) Meyer and Doris A. Barber, both of Delware, and five grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers, John C. and R. Dane Barber. He retired as the first principal of Lima North Junior High School. He was a former educator, serving as a teacher, coach, councilor and administrator for 37 years. He was a member of The Ohio Education Association and Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima. He coached at Lima Central High School, Lima Senior High School and St. Marys Memorial High School. Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, the Rev. Mary "Judy" Judith Wolf, 67, 309 N. Second St., Coldwater, died at 5:35 p.m. Sept. 17, 2006, at The Gardens at Celina. Death was due to cancer. She was born July 26, 1939, in Dayton, to Marvin and Margaret Trick Manker. On Aug. 21, 1965, she married Larry Wolf, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Chris, Coldwater, and Matt (Melissa), Granger, Ind.; two brothers, Marvin Jr. (Jonal) Manker and Jack (Sandy) Manker, all of Kettering; a sister, Jill (Nick) Thomas, Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren. She was co-owner of Back to Nature, Coldwater, secretary for the Coldwater Chamber of Commerce and a former teacher at Coldwater Exempted Village Schools and Celina City Schools. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and the State Retired Teachers Organization. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
