Marie Evers Marie H. "Micky" Evers, 88, 112 W. Center St., Fort Recovery, died at 1:25 p.m. Oct. 31, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. She was born Nov. 6, 1917, in St. Henry, to Henry and Mary Dwenger Evers. Survivors are a sister, Marcella Stukenborg, Fort Recovery; and a sister-in-law, Madonna, Celina. Deceased are a brother, Clem; and a brother-in-law, Leo Stukenborg. She retired after 38 years of service at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys. She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at St. Peter Cemetery. Eldon B. Haberkamp, 80, 08244 Airport Road, New Knoxville, died at 5:23 p.m. Oct. 30, 2006, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in New Knoxville, to Benjamin and Bertha Wierwille Haberkamp. On June 20, 1948, he married Lois Virginia Zwiebel, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Rick (Monica), Republic of Chad, Central Africa, Dean (Rebecca), Dublin, and Larry, New Knoxville; a daughter, Shirley (Paul) Holland, Fairfield; a sister-in-law, Marie, New Knoxville; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Deceased are a son, Ted; a daughter, Barbara; and a brother, Adrian. He was a farmer and co-owner of Airport Manufacturing Co., New Knoxville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marines and a 1944 graduate of New Knoxville High School. He was a member of First United Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon, elder and superintendent of Sunday school; American Legion Post 444, New Knoxville; and Gideons International. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, near New Knoxville. Florentine H. Rose, 82, of Celina, died at 3:35 p.m. Oct. 30, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in St. Rose, to Albert and Anna Hartings Evers. On Sept. 1, 1948, she married Arlington M. Rose, who died Dec. 3, 2001. Survivors are three sons, Larry, Texas, David (Chris), Wooster, and Rick (Teresa), Celina; two daughters, Marlene Stephenson, Celina, and Lois Ann (Donald) Baumer, Minster; a brother, Cyril (Phyllis) Evers, St. Henry; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Scott, Granite City, Ill., and Mary Helen Rose, New Bremen; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and the first cook at Celina Manor Nursing Home. She worked there, 22 years, from its opening in 1978 until retirement in 1999. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, and its Daughters of Isabella and Altar Rosary Society. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
